Hmmm, now to ponder whether I hold off till next year for an iPad refresh or bite the bullet and just get an air2
I'm running a 16GB "the new iPad" before it went to lightning adapter, and it's slow as can be.

If you can, upgrade immediately to whatever iPad is in your price range. I never realized how slow the iPad3 was until I got my Air2. The iPad3 is still functional, sure, but it's not nearly as easy or nice to use as an air2. Typing is such a chore, and tab refreshes so common. And my battery on the iPad3 is at about half of when it was new.
