Cant my self not use an iPad Pro. its too big for for my use :( i Think for Gaming though, it has alot of power :D

Going from a A8X with 2gb of ram to a A9X with 4gb of ram isn't a reason to upgrade?? You either know nothing about the evolution of the iPad or trying to convince yourself this because you don't want to spend any money. When was the last time the iPad doubled its Ram??? Yea, I would say that's news worthy.
Typically most upgrade to the next evolution of iPad for a lot less. The iPad Pro is not just a upgrade but is a completely different animal and has now established itself as the halo iPad tablet in the pecking order of the family. From now on, the iPad as we know it will always be kept below the Pro in performance. This was discussed in length on several reviews of the platform line.

A9X with 4GB of Ram is huge upgrade in performance.
Lol please

The air is very fast as it is. Spending stupid money just to make it faster? No there has to be far better benefits on top of the speed to make it worth it.

I don't need to convince myself of anything. I know plenty about tech thanks. If the pro was worth spending an extra £400 then I would do it. I have spend after £2,500 this year on Apple products Afterall

The pro is a great Device but apart from speed and the pencil it's basically just a bigger air 2. So unless you use the pencil for certain things it's not worth the extra money no.

No 3D Touch so there is no feature that stands above the air 2. If you are using the pro for the same as the air then no it isn't worth the upgrade.

If people use the pro for what Apple try and say it's made for then yes fair enough

I also don't buy the whole pro will be the main tablet in Apple line. The air will always sell more than the pro as the pro is for the select people for different reasons. It's why they aren't making as many.

The iPad Air was fast too. Just try a Pro with multi screen apps running side by side and you will see how noticeably faster the Pro is over the Air 2.
The iPad Pro is not just "incrementally faster". It's a huge leap ahead using the A9X and 4gh of ram.

You don't find 4 hi quality speakers that move in orientation to the screens position to create a unbelievable sound stage a tangible upgrade?

These are not subjective performance points, you just choose to dismiss them.

The old comparison that a entry level C class MB will get your groceries as well as a S class AMG. It's just what your performance standards are and what your value system chooses to find necessary. To say both cars do the same thing is somewhat true in the most basic form.

I love the iPad pro. I'd say it's better in almost every way than my iPad Air 2 , minus the weight.

The problem is it worth the price difference. I got the top end air 2 and top end iPad pro, in my case the iPad pro setup is almost 3X the price that I paid for my air 2 setup.

Why not a Pro?? It's faster, better speakers, better battery and better in every way. I actually own both, 2 Air 2's and 1 Pro. The Air 2 is last years technology so it's already dated without the A9 or A9X chip. It may not even get the A9X chip when it's updated next year so it's always going to be positioned lower than the top model, iPad Pro.
The iPad Pro speed and better speakers are worth the upgrade from the Air 2 alone. Factor in all the other advancements in the Pro and there is no comparison between the two.

If price is no object, there is really no comparison on what to get. The iPad Pro all the way.

It it worth £300 more? Dunno. The iPad Air 2 is not slow, yet to see a significant difference for everyday tasks. The air 2 speakers are bad, though the iPad pro are not excellent, decent headphones still win by a very large margin.

If price is a non issue, I kind of agree, except the iPad pro is not as portable as the air 2. I'd still be inclined to keep both.

It depends how you use those speakers as most media for me is done via my TV with AirPlay or general YouTube on my smart TV

I would say spilt screen would work better on the pro due to the extra size.

Do I use spilt screen a lot? No but I do use it daily just not often. Generally it's when on safari and Twitter.

I have the mini and the air so would pro be better with the size comparisons? Maybe so but I have had experience using a big tablet as I had the note 12.2 and after that I said maybe it's not the best idea to get a 13 inch tablet.

I'm very impressed by the pro don't get me wrong but I wouldn't use it any different to my air 2. I think to pay an extra £400 is too much.

The pencil is a nice feature as I see it being just for the pro. No way they add it to the air going forward as they will want people to buy the pro

Can I ask what speakers you are comparing the iPad pro to ? I like the sound from the iPad pro , it's very good....for an idevice. but to call it unbelievable sound stage ?? Listen to a rock song...turn it up, the bass, soundstage....no...the cheapest iPod docks blow it out of the water!

Accuracy and loudness are two different things. I am comparing it to any other portable tablet and the way they reproduce their sound stage. There is a fullness to the Pro's speaker that is absent in other tablet and most laptops.
There is most certainly a very good to excellent stereo separation and even a respectable simulated surround sound stage with good content from sources like Hulu. It's very accurate in its presentation. In fact better than most laptops we use to show case video and video music content to our clients.
The frequency response is also very impressive for a tablet.
This makes the video experience significantly more immersive over any other tablet currently made.

FYI...The reason I am buying 4 more iPad Pros is for my production company I own and its speaker performance is a important reason. I would be considered a professional with multiple degrees in acoustic engineering.

Fair enough, you were comparing it to other tablets. Yes it's the best I heard for a tablet.

Off topic. What is hulu actally ? :) heard very little about it

Apple wants the Pro to step up and be used in professional applications. I can honestly say it's worthy for my companies needs. It's a win-win for the recreational user. I am buying my staff 4 128gb silver Pros and I am keeping the 128 Gold for my personal and professional use. It sometimes pays to be the boss. ;)

For a good iPad Pro demo of its sound stage would be a TV show like "Elementary" on Hulu. It's shockingly good. The voices are full and the background ambient notices are clear, crisp and separated in their proper sound stage behind the voices. This is way far away from the typical mid range muffled sound from all other portable devices and laptops. When new iPad Pro owners say the speakers are "incredible" but don't go into details why they are so much better, the full accurate sound stage are what they are first hearing in a portable device.

For people like yourself, it's a great device and I'm jealous you can get a lot more out of it, I will not hide the facts it's an iPad plus for me.

FYI. I'm into highend audio, hence have my reservations about the sound produced by the iPad pro. I'm the guy who plugs in some mid to top end headphones cause the speakers just don't cut it.

They are a big improvement over the air 2

Totally understand. I am locked into a control room with very accurate flat monitors a lot of my day. On the flip side, our audio reference room is as high end as it gets.

Oh no not the audophiles haha. The pro is a mobile device. something you take from room to room or travel with. Therefor the new speakers sound pretty damn good tbh. The air 2's speakers was shockingly bad and held me back ever buying it. Id say these are the best speakers ive heard so far on a tablet and laptop. And im happy to watch a film on it and i have zero complaints from the sound. I do have some nice headphones phillips fidelio x2 but most of the time I cannot be bothered to plug them in, unless I have too..

Speakers on the air 2 aren't great I agree but those with smart TV or Apple TV how big a deal is it? Anything I watch off the air 2 will just be via air play

Honestly the pro sounds perfect for your company and you personally. If you use all the benefits to what it provides it's totally worth it

I've got to say I agree with this. I have been researching the Ipad Pro and Ipad Air 2 for the last couple of weeks. I was all set to purchase the 64GB Air 2 w/ Cellular option based on recommendations from respectable tech sites such as CNET. Then this weekend I went to Best Buy and spent about an hour comparing the two devices side by side.

I too was thinking before actually trying that the Pro would be too heavy to use as a Tablet. Not true at all. I held it in one hand for 30 minutes straight and felt no fatigue. Now keep in mind that I'm a 35 year old, 6 foot 185 pound man so your mileage may vary. Also, I was able to see the benefit of the bigger screen and upgraded speed when using the new multitask feature. For me, it was night and day. It just seems like the multitasking was made for the Ipad Pro. I tried it on the Air 2 and it just wasn't as fluid. And also the smaller screen annoyed me because I had to hold the Air 2 closer to my face when split screened. This is fine when holding it, but there are times when I use my Ipad connected to a keyboard sitting on a table, and that would create an issue for me with the Air 2. Multitasking is big for me and will be used quite often. There's no denying that it's a better experience on the Pro. Finally, future proof. It may not be a big deal for people that replace their device every year. But I plan on keeping the Pro for at the very least 3 years, and I want to be as future proof as possible. The Ipad Pro gives me that.

In summary, I would say evaluate your needs in a tablet when making your decision. Don't go by reviews. What's big for some is not big for others, and sometimes people just need to put down the new product to justify keeping their current product, or inability to upgrade to the new product. It's true that the Ipad Pro is not for everybody. I would never purchase it for my wife as it may be too heavy for her to use as a tablet. I personally wouldn't want an Ipad that I had to always use on a surface and couldn't hold. However, if the weight is not an issue for you, you plan on doing a lot with this knew multitasking feature, you appreciate the increased power of the Pro (You have to know that there will be more apps that utilize the greater power of the Pro), and want to be more future proof than the Air 2, the Pro is the better buy in my opinion. I will say though that with these Black Friday sales, the Air 2 is the best Apple Tablet you can buy for the money. It's the overall better value TODAY. That may change as the Ipad Pro's power is utilized more with Pro specific apps.

Mystro. I like the Studio sound :) its nice to hear all the layers in the music and tones in instruments, placement of singers, the neutralness+ room feeling and realism :)

I have an iPad Air 2 and I love it, but honestly if I didn't and I was buying an iPad today I would have no idea which one to get. I really do want to have both of them. My Air 2 is great and I really don't think I could give it up, but at the same time I think the iPad Pro would be great for clash of clans and watching YouTube. I really think for my own personal uses the iPad Pro and iPad Air 2 would work together as an amazing team fitting two different types of needs.

Right now I use my iPad Air 2 for everything really, web browsing, games, YouTube, email you name it. If I had the money I would go and get an iPad Pro just to see where it falls in my life.
