MacRumors Forums crashes 4 out 5 times on my iPad Mini 1G. The front page works every time however.

Was nearly thinking of buying a used Retina Mini only because of this. Good thing I didn't, as it seems the A7-units seem to suffer from the same problems. Something wrong with MacRumors Forums perhaps?

Something wrong with the ipad more like. The same pages never crash with my iPhone or Note 4. Crash every bloody time on Air 1

I have a repeatable bug with the MR forum, that is also repeatable in at least one more website that uses the same forum engine. If I touch any of the buttons in the editing toolbar, e.g. Insert a link or picture - immediate Safari crash. I fix this by turning off JavaScript, but then the buttons do nothing.

MacRumors is causing my iPad Air to crash consistently every time I close the window or click on comments within articles and especially when I click on forums tab. Could just be safari, other browsers for iOS do not crash.

Thought this would only happen to me...I guess this has something to do with some specific advertisements they are running from time to time.

turning off javascript

wow this worked, for this site, turning off safari's javascript is working smoothly.
thanks!

It appears Javascript is the new FLASH.

My biggest problem regarding the crashes etc while using the iPad is Safari related. I can eliminate most of them by turning off JV but I don't have any of these issues in Android and especially using Chrome. That's the frustrating part.

Macrumors blows up on my AIR with the latest iOS, and it also blows up on my iPhone 5S running 7.1.2

Most frequent blowups are when choosing the forums from their poorly designed pulldown menu.

Air 1 user here. Mine crashes so often that I've grown numb to it. Forget about Safari retaining more than 1 tab, not a chance. But I use about 5 different apps frequently and have them freeze on a daily basis.

I knew full well it was inferior when I bought it, during the deals after the 2 came out. However I honestly didn't imagine it could crash nearly as often as it does.

Oh well, it'll keep chugging along for my music purposes.

Hey Guys, I have an ipad air and my wife has an Rmini, It seems to crash a lot when I make anything bigger with the gesture, Pics websites etc... Happens a lot.. Checked out my wife's Mini Retina opened closed web sites zoomed in and out with my fingers NO CRASHES... ANY thoughts. Thanks Guys..

I have both but use the rMini more. I get very few crashes on either one. I zoom a lot as well. There is something conflicting in your system causing that to happen for you.

My Air crashes occasionally when I zoom in on ebay photos. Not sure why, but when i reboot it goes away for a while until it needs another reboot, possibly to free up space?? Other than that, its been crashing a lot less frequently in Safari since 8.2.

Webpages crash on my Air more often than it seems they should. Not fun. Turning off javascript is not a real solution, and constantly toggling it off and on is a pain in the butt. I've gotten a lot of mileage out of my Air and was hoping I could keep it for longer, but I think I will get an Air 3 when it comes out.

I don't know what you guys are doing with your Air's but I'm a "power user" in iPad terms and can go from Safari to Pixelmator to Spotify to Football Manager Classic 2015 to Crazy Taxi to Mail and back to Safari over the course of an hour or so and have zero crashes.

You mean people have different experiences when using the same hardware and iOS versions? Wow!!!!

Please inform the rest of the fanbois that this is ACTUALLY possible.

I'm not a "fanboi" ... I'm simply stating that my iPad Air is rigoursly used with high end, intensive apps one after the other and doesn't crash.

Why is it that post after post on here stating the iPad Air crashes are to be believed without retort or challenge yet the second someone says their iPad Air doesn't crash they are labelled a "fanboi"?

I don't need to make up lies to disprove people who claim their iPad Air crashes forty times a day ... mine doesn't crash, it doesn't freeze, it doesn't lock up, it doesn't randomly quit apps. It's that simple, but don't label me a "fanboi" because I don't conform to the norm on here of posting week after week how much the iPad Air crashes.

Ipad Air Crashes ?

you are lucky, my Air was a catastrophe, sold it and never looked back. Air2 works better and this is a part of the log (air2) today and apps i have been using so far:

jetsamevent has the typical bug type 198 in all logs.

what is funny, when apples own app crashes, freezes or so whatever, there is no log! it wasnt long time ago when i was trying to check what happened (air2 rebooted), but there wasnt log about it.

It's a conspiracy. Macrumors is trying to convert everyone over to Android because it works on my Note II but not iPad. Hmmm...
