@sanke1 yeah. Don't upgrade so soon. Wait for iOS 8.1.x. Just as I'm typing this, Safari crashed again with a BSOD :( seems like I spoke too soon

Anyone tried disabling Safari iCloud sync button? Someone few posts back mentioned as the solution.

Since Reboots are affecting mostly Indian iPad Airs, did anyone try changing language to US English without adding any regional keyboards?

Language is English. Nothing to do with regional languages! This issue is faced all over the world. What's the point of disabling iCloud sync ? It's like saying having car troubles? Remove the engine and check if you can use the car! The system as whole should work as intended.

This problem started after iOS8 update. So that's the culprit. I'm going to return my iPad tomorrow and see what happens. I've manages to partially video capture a couple of restarts, hopefully the service centre guys accept it as proof.

:apple: please do find a fix .

P.S. I think this issue is with low memory-1GB. iOS 8 needs a bit more I think. This is just a guess.

It is still happening with iOS 8.0.2, and no it has nothing to do with 1 GB RAM, it is a software issue specific to only some iPads. Case in point, my dad's original mini with 512 mb RAM is working flawlessly on iOS 8, whereas as I mentioned earlier, rMini with 1 GB Ram is rebooting once a day.

Gave my iPad mini retina in for servicing. Finally convinced them that the issue is not just a figment of my imagination. Also, After 8.0.2 safari is also not responsive if I open sites on iPad which are on my desktop. Keyboard has gone funny too.

Sorry, I could not upload. Hence I'm posting Google Drive link for the image

This is the first time me or anyone in my family is facing genuine problems since an iOS release, and even restoring the device as new is not fixing it. I hope Apple soon releases updates to address these issues.

Happened on an iphone 6 ios 8.0.2 today..
the blue screens are the equivalent to kernel panics on a macbook (basically, they are kernel panics on an iphone).
there should be crashlogs in "diagnostics and usage".. in my case it was somehow caused by the app im currently developing and testing (although that shouldnt happen).

For those with this problem, try temporarily turning off all background app refresh in Settings/General. Restart the device and see if that helps at all. If not, it at least eliminates possibilities. If so, turn off select background apps until you find the culprit.

What do your after crash diagnostic data log say in Settings/Privacy...?

I should've never upgraded from 8 to 8.0.2 on my iPad air....Safari hangs while other browsers still responds.....I sometimes have to close safari and reopen it for it to work....

For me, I read somewhere this trick, double press the home button and kill all the recent apps listed then once reboot the iPad. This has not stopped my reboots completely but is far more stable. I had a one reboot on saturday while using Air Video app.

I'm still getting them reguarly on my ipad mini retina

There is not pattern to the crash; some days I go for hours without a reboot, some days as soon as I open an app, 10s in and it reboots. The most annoying is when you're in a game and it does that because to the game it looks like you just quit...

Was perfectly stable on iOS 7

Issue solved for me

The latest update seems to have fixed things up considerably. No reboot/BSOD since latest update.

I'm obviously late to the party; this started happening to me for the very first time last night, under 8.4.1. I guess it could be a hardware problem that coincidentally also gives a blue screen but that feels unlikely.

I recently increased my iCloud storage, allowing the device to start backing up again after several months of not doing so but it's backed up several times since then so that's not as obviously a cause as it might sound.
