Unquestionably. Especially since I'd be completely justified to return it as it came defective in a way I can easily point out.

If something pops up down the line I'd debate it but if it comes out of box with it I'll be bugged by it for the life of the thing.

I'd keep on returning until I receive one that's perfect to me.. yes it'll take time, but we all paid the same price, why should anyone settle for anything less?

Agree. Return it! We all pay a premium for apple products which means in turn we should receive a flawless product.

Absolutely would return it, it will bother you forever. It's like that zit on the end of your co workers nose.

What is the best way to check for a dead pixel? I did solid red blue green colors etc is there something better to do?

I 100% agree. I'm on my 4th iPad Air which actually has 2 dead pixels, and I bought at Best Buy. After a certain number of exchanges you will be blacklisted which would totally suck. So, I'm either keeping this POS and will live with it, or will just sell it and take the loss and buy again until I get one that has no dead pixels. Four Airs and all have had a dead pixel issue. My luck is awful.

Why not just return it for a refund and but one from a different store?

I would never accept a product that is not in perfect condition. Specially from a 500$ + product. Return until the unit you get is perfect.

You will be helping apple to get their quality insurance's act together.

I put down over a grand for the iPad Air & (hopefully) pick it up tomorrow. You bet I'll return it if there's a defect. That's a good chunk of change to be spending on a device, it had better not be flawed!

I remember back before LCD screens were out I bought a Sony monitor and returned it no less than 6 times to Circuit City because of imperfections, probably not noticeable to someone who's not a freak like me lol.

Because it is in their computer system, it won't matter what store I go to. Not worth the risk of getting flagged, to me. I'm really ticked off but thinking big picture I don't want to be flagged for future purchases. I will probably sell this one and re-buy at an Apple store.
