Over 5 weeks after the iPad Air and 3 weeks after the Retina Mini, I decided to keep the Air. The mini went back to the store today. This is after many returns because I've had trouble with the devices. After all that trouble, and considering I can only keep one device, I kept the Air.

I like the Mini and will miss the size. The color gamut is an issue for me in the end. Also, I find that the Air is a better device for home use and with its light weight, it's a better compromise for me.

I feel the same, the gamut on the mini is just terrible compared to the air. Its just not up to standards IMO. You will miss the size of the mini. But maybe you wont!

Use the air without a case and go with skins and smart cover and it feels like a bigger mini. Once you add any case, the device all of a sudden feels like a full sized ipad again.

Played with one mini.

It is nice. Definitely worth considering.

But I realized neither would be horrible in my case. So, I am gonna starting using my air. In a year, I would know which I really want.

Got the Air but only because it was a deal on Black Friday. Initially in the store I totally fell in love with the mini. The form factor is perfect. I use my iPad in bed a lot and the Air is feeling too big now. I used to have the iPad 3.
I'd go for Mini but check out the colour gamut, it's true, it's poor. I just love it's size :p

I sold my iPad 4 64GB WIFI CELLULAR white for a good price last week. I wanted to buy an iPad mini with Retina before XMAS. Yesterday I visited a Apple Authorized Store and checked the iPad mini with Retina and the iPad Air. Finally I decided I'll go with the Air. I liked the Air display more, because some colors looked much better on the Air. I could also easily hold the Air in one hand. Also hold my iPad 4 in one hand while reading, no problem for me.

My problem is the price of the iPad Air 128 GB WIFI. I like the white/silver version more, but I couldn't find it USED and cheap. I checked some sites in my country and ebay. On ebay I found a company which is selling used like new products from Apple. I also sold Apple hardware to them and I also bought my iPad 4 from a similar company. My iPad 4 was really like NEW and I paid 200€ less. Now they also offer the iPad Air, but unfortunately only in black/space gray. It's 100€ less than on the Apple Store. Maybe they will get a white/silver in stock in some days. I think I'll wait, but I will definitely go with the AIR.

I'd go with the rMini, its highly portable, great for reading or extended use, especially with one hand.

It all boils down to your personal preference. We all can state the Air or mini would be great but that's our own opinion. Its your money and your decision and both are great options.

Do you want a smaller tablet or a larger one, both have their pros and cons.
