Good news, Apple's going to rely on this as their new target market as the boomers die off. It's a simple phone for those who hate learning new things

a) What is your point here? He considers Android more geeky as there is more setup required. Placing widgets, setting steps are slightly less glossy etc. Basically he thinks it requires more tech knowledge to setup. Its relation to IOS means nothing. It is merely his perception anyway, whether it is correct or not is another matter.

b) What statistics have you got to support that Android is slower, crashes and more unstable than IOS? You just described my iPhone 4S perfectly! My Nexus 4 has been rock solid by comparison, and on the odd occasion it has crashed, at least it has the courtesy to give me a message to let me know which app has stopped working. When my iPhone just hangs or crashes out it it just flashes back to the home tile screen, as if it is pretending that nothing happened and actually it was just my imagination.

Basically you posted a whole load of stuff there (and SHOUTING does not add more weight to any of it) whilst managing to make not a single definable point.

A. so if his perceptions are wrong, we should accept it as correct? lol not sure what your point is here at all.

b. What statistics? i develop and test on both Operating systems, from a wide range of devices, of course all the apple devices, and a bunch of android devices from HTCs, Nexus, Motorola, Samsung Note 1,2 Galaxy S2,S3,S4, Droid 2,3,

lol statistics? what about first hand experience with multiple android and ios devices?

theres tons, forget iOS7, its a total new make over of the OS and of course its going to have bugs, which will all be kinked out in due time.

lol it doesnt tell you which app crashed the phone? usually it would be the APP u were ON which took up too much memory which led to a crash.

oh yeah, not to mention the known security breach issues for android OS and the fact that its been almost 10 years and the touch screen responsiveness is no where near ios's

You need to check yourself, watch your mouth, and stop discriminating against others.

discriminating? watch your mouth? check yourself?

what in the world are you talking about?

have you visited these countries? because it seems like you have no merit.

instead of giving a response, you just accuse me of discriminating and you tell me to check myself and watch my mouth?

im Asian myself, how would i be discriminating?

US, Western Europe, Korea, Japan, all these "1st world" countries are materialistic as well,

but in China, India, Cambodia, the 2nd and 3rd world countries, OBVIOUSLY since the average income is LOWER, of course materialistic objects would have a bit MORE value and have more importance in social status.

i know because ive been to these countries, not to say EVERYONE is materialistic, iof course not, you cant generalize millions of people, let alone hundreds.

but does having an iPhone help you look better infront of strangers whether it might be an employer or a woman? yes, it implies you have money (in these 2nd-3rd world countries) like a the same way if you drive a nice car and wear an expensive suit.

i should have worded my previous post, it was a bit rash with word, i apologize for that.

but nothing ive said hasnt been fact. china is like 1930s america, money talks, basically as well as india. china of course is going to be the biggest consumer in the world, but ethics is still isnt up to par with its western adversaries.

if you do business in these countries, its a necessity you have to bribe. its a societal norm. very hard to do business there without bribing, not sure if any foreign company has done that before. lol.

but to say that Apple is irrelevant in the Asian market is flat out wrong. ive already said this in the previous post, android sell because they are cheap, the average citizen isnt going to be able to afford an iphone or ipad.

once apple has a solution to make it cheaper in foreign nations, theyll take point indefinitely.

shanghainese love apple products, and its crazy, an iPhone 5 sighting was are there, i assume because its too expensive. most people still had the 4 or 4S, and of courses 3GS's are still around too.

Interesting that you imply that iPhones are for 'complete tech idiots' then say we should stop the hate.

There's no implication. I never said only tech idiots buy iPhones. Lots of tech-savvy people use iPhone. 95% of smartphone users use their phones in the same way. I personally prefer Android because I can take advantage of the differences between iOS and Android to my benefit.
