I own a iPhone 5, iPad Air, MBA 11 2012", MBA 13" 2013, MBP 15" 2011.

My philosophy is to have the right tool for the right job and Situation. I also have more than one screwdriver and one hammer in my toolbox.

Forgot to mention the Mac mini server 2010 and the iPhone, iPad, MBA collection of my wife ;-)

So what different jobs do your three MacBooks do?

Hello,
I own an iphone 5 and an old 13 inch MacBook Pro and I will buy a retina 15 inch MacBook Pro in January. I looked at a iPad air at the apple store and really liked it, however I asked myself the question if an iPad is useful if I already own an iphone and a MacBook. I can't really make up my mind so just share your thought. Thanks

I still find the iPad useful despite having 2 iMac's, a MacBook Pro and an iPhone. There are times at home when I don't want to be at the desk or leaning forward in my chair to use the laptop and just want to lay back and do something. The phone may be too small and the iPad works nicely. Plus I bring the iPad to work where none of my Mac's are and use it for music or FaceTime.
