It would work for data, there's no calling plans attached to the iPad data plans.

It would be really nice if this works. I plan to use my 3GS for voice & data as I do now. The iPhone 4 will be for data and music/videos.

I read that I will have to change the APN on the iPhone here http://unlockit.co.nz

can someone confirm it works on the current iPhone too?
