Go to a website that you're familiar with that has strong colours. I personally use BBC Football UK website and just look at the yellow bar at the top.
If you compare your iPhone and iPad next to each other are the colours just as vibrant and same?

Testing on an iPad Air 2, it's available in portrait mode as well as landscape. If you rotate your screen to change orientations then both apps also rotate and resize. The difference seems to be that in portrait orientation the split can't be resized (it seems to be a 60/40 split), whereas in landscape mode you can designate the split between 75/25 and 50/50. I thought it was announced that it would only work in landscape mode, so I'm glad to see that it's more versatile than that. (I'm assuming it will work similarly on the iPad Mini 4.)Is split view in landscape only or is it available in portrait mode?

No, I tried it. You'll need two separate compatible browsers.
