I know most of the buzz was about the 6s and (maybe) the iPad Pro — but for me, the iPad Mini 4 was the most exciting refresh of them all.

It's not a perfect machine, but I'm glad it's up-to-par now with the flagship Air 2.

I was surprised to not see one of these (or maybe it was something I missed), but for all of those who have pre-ordered the Mini 4 — post your model, accessories, and estimated ship dates!

I got a Red Smart Cover (needed to replace the haggard one on my 2), Red Silicon case, and a Space Gray 64 GB iPad Mini 4 set for delivery September 17-21.

Ordered one with a custom engraving (Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.). Delivery on September 16-18 (end of next week).

Should be in stores today or tomorrow, so I'll go check out the smart covers.
 
Just phoned my local store (in the UK) and they don't have any in stock or know when they will be getting any...
 
I ordered within seconds of the keynote ending. It is exactly what I have been waiting for.

Silver, wi-fi only, 128GB. Also ordered the Stone smart cover. Apparently due to get to me 16th-18th September.

Really looking forward to some nice slip cases being available. It's a bit taller than the previous model, so older cases won't fit.
 
I ordered one with Next Day before 12:00 shipping - I'm quoted the 17th - 21st.

However, I leave the US on the 18th at 14:00 - what are the odds that it will arrive before then? Or shall I just cancel my order?

What exactly are the iPad Mini 4's SPECS now ?

A8 CPU (not A8X)
1GB RAM

Really ? thats an iPhone 6

I'm really not sure. In many cases, past pre-orders that have a later estimate sometimes ship and arrive by the street date, but there's no guarantee that will always happen. I know my Apple Watch had a later date scheduled but I got it on the launch day.

If you have any major doubts, I'd probably cancel and just order when you know you'll get one. I don't think these will be hard to find or flying off of shelves — it seems like there's a pretty small market for Mini users unfortunately, especially if this thread is any proof; not too many pre-orders have been posted about here!

The lack of popularity is the same reason I think it might end up arriving earlier :/ I might call up and ask
 
the only thing that has stopped me from pushing the order button is i can't decide on what capacity (64 or 128)! it's showing 18-25 delivery for both.

i'm going wifi version this time. even though i'm used to just turn on and go.... i can stop paying at&t an additional $10 a month and just tether off my phone....

i'm definitely ordering one, though! i still have an original (32 LTE version).... so i'm due!
 
Got 2 Wifi 64GB models on order. Delivery estimate of the 16th. Will be keeping both provided they have 2GB RAM which I'm pretty sure they will do.
 
Ordered one right after the keynote then called Apple business 2 hours later to cancel the order and place it through them and get the discount. Both had the same window, 17-21
 
I ordered mine in gold, wi-fi only with 128gb. I was going to settle for 64gb but I'm already past that on my Air. The only reason I'm ordering is my dil has my original iPad2 and its failing after 4.5 years of heavy use. She'll get the iPad3 I gave to my son, so that's 3.5 years old and going strong. He'll get my iPad Air 128gb and bought on the release date so almost 2 years old.

I'm certainly happy with the amount of use we've gotten out of each device. If I'm not happy with the mini4 I'll return it and try to keep the ipad2 alive until a new iPad is released.

I don't think it will be available in store before 16. september since iOS9 will be released that day and the Mini 4 for sure will have iOS9 preloaded.
 
I'll be waiting for Black Friday and hoping the price drops. $499 for a 64gb model is more than I want to pay.
 
OK.... made my decision... ordered space grey 64 gb wifi version.... $479. since I've lived with 3 gb all this time I figure the 64 is a good jump. (and I can use that $100 I "saved" and buy two additional watch bands!)

I may order the pink smart cover....
 
I suspect anyone that ordered the day of the event will have it Tues or Wednesday. I expect Wednesday at the earliest since that is the iOS 9 launch and will likely require and update to iTunes.
 
I was al over the mini 4 after I saw the specs. I much prefer its size over the standard size for my daily activities. I ordered a loaded up mini 4 after the release show.
Gold mini 4 with 128g with dark blue Smart Cover and is expected delivered by Sept 15-17. I will also order a Pro 128g when available. For me and my lifestyle the mini is my portable and carry around iPad. The Pro will be my home and office iPad. All my older mid size iPads will be their backups.
