I'm a bit behind due to lack of funds but I just ordered my silver iPad mini 4 64GB/wifi this afternoon. It's preparing to ship with a delivery date of Tues. 9/22:)

Awesome! Congrats! Hope you love it!!!!

Congrats to all iPad Mini 4 new owners. Is it true that this iPad has the same gapless display of the Air 2 that got so much raves from users last year?

The battery life is great. I'm haven't had to charge my mini yet. It's so thin I was able to carry it in my back pocket when was out traveling around today.

After playing with mine for a day or so, the biggest difference I can see is in screen quality. It really is night and day from the Mini 2 to Mini 4.

A small quibble - I don't like the new Smart Cover - mine at least. It has a bigger "Lip" on the right side of the iPad (maybe to make it easier to open?) But I hate that it doesn't sit flush with the iPad edge. Seems so rough and un-apple. Anyone else experience this with their iPad Mini 4 smart cover?

I see what you mean about the lip....

since I decided to return the pink & go with white instead..... I've been taking mnne completely forgot when using my mini (my gray original one was pretty grungy!

You will love it, especially coming from a 1.

I believe so. My current one is so slow and laggy on iOS 8.4.1, a little better on iOS 9 but not perfect. It'll be nice to have one with more power and looking forward to split screen. Plus my current one only has 16 GB so can only download a few movies before it's full.

My cover fits perfectly, but probably because I'm using it with the case. The cover comes right to the edge of the case with no overlap and the edge of the case is velvety smooth. I wasn't happy with the extra expense of buying 2 pieces, but now that I'm using it, I really like it - even prefer it to the the Apple leather case I had on my Mini2.

How deep is the case? With the Air 2, there were some complaints that the unit sits a little bit down inside the case, making the whole item thicker than it needs to be.

mine should be here in a day or two, probably get the smart cover, wouldn't mind to get the silicone and the smart but geeze close to 100 bucks

Yes the price is kind of extreme. You could get AppleCare+ for $99, although that doesn't count the $49 deductible.

The fit is similar to the Air 2 case on mine. Both iPads sit right below the edge of the case and not flush with it. The edge of the silicone case is much softer than the leather Air 2 case making it more pleasant to handle.

I was initially unhappy with the price and the need to buy both the cover and case. Also disappointed that it wasn't leather. It does work very well together and gives you the option or removing the cover during use. The silicone case feels comfortable to hold. The edges are much softer than those on the leather case.

I bet you hit the nail on the head right there. Before the smart "case" could have a bigger lip to accommodate. But now Apple has the cover and the back. cover has to have enough "lip" to make it easy for both non-case and case users alike. But still... Ugh. ;)

Me too, I actually like it. I have both and the fit together perfectly. The case does feel nice. Not thrilled with the price but am glad I got it
