Reading all the positive comments about the new iPad Air 2 makes me wish if Apple released a new mini with the same qualities of the new Air....

I want to get the iPad Air 2 i'm just used to the iPad mini size.

I can't wait for the iPad mini 4...:confused:

That would be a really nice product indeed.
 
Apple doesn't want one device to cannibalize sales of another device so it will likely stagger the improvements with iPad getting it first, iPhone 2nd then Mini last since it's lower margin. If they make the improvements across the board all at the same time then there would be less of an incentive to buy an iPad Air 2 if the iPhone 6+ has the same guts, 2GB DRAM and A8X, and level of user experience.

This is one thing I don't like. I don't like how the iPad doesn't have as good of a camera as the iPhone! Why not?! Why do that? Make all the products the best you can make them.

they are so post to announce a iPad mini 4 today when they announce the new iPhones.
 
John Gruber is now changing tune and saying today is Apple's only fall event this year. So if an iPad mini 4 is coming, it's today.

Curious to see when the mini 4 will be available for sale, are we going to have to wait till November like the Pro or will it be available shortly after launch? If they delay it for 2 months the sales of the Mini 3 are really going to tank.

If they stick an A9 processor with 2GB of ram in it i will probably pick one up if its available quickly.

Not gonna happen if the Mini 4 is announced today and the Air 3 isn't.

Here's hoping that it gets a decent retina display comparable to the 9.7" iPads, unlike the color-starved display in the Mini 2 and Mini 3.

The iPad Air 2 is $150-$250 less than the iPhone 6/6plus. I'll gladly take a small camera disadvantage (which takes great pics btw) and gain the better processor and RAM upgrade.

The camera on the Air 2 is very impressive and not that far behind the one on the 6

Improved color gamut is one of the things I'm really hoping we'll see from the iPad mini 4. I have a mini 2, and the color gamut just looks washed out. Reds really suffer.
 
Speàker on my IPad Mini 2 suck. Hopefully we get a better paid of speakers in this new upcoming iPad mini 4 with 3 GB of ram instead of the lousy old 1GB of RAM. Which is horrible for stock trading platform applications.

If they don't upgrade the display, there is no other combination of upgrades (size, weight, RAM, SoC) that would persuade me to upgrade. YMMV...
 
So its just been announced, is it basically the same size etc but with the internals of the air 2 now?
 
So color me officially frustrated. Other than an acknowledgment of a new Mini 4 with an upgraded SoC, no details at all... :rolleyes: Don't worry, it's definitely not a life-threatening condition. :D

I'm thinking it's probably the exact same dimensions, screen etc but with air 2 internals now hence no details were given.
 
I was completely ready to buy an ipad mini 4...but I don't really like the fact that they just glossed over it like an afterthought, not thrilled about an A8X over A9 either. Also ever since I heard the rumor about rose gold iphones, I've loved the idea of a rose gold ipad mini. I wonder if it's worth waiting till next year to see if this happens.

Well no way were we getting a mini with the A9 processor. The most important change is if the case has been made thinner like the Air2 and they are not saying. I keep updating the ipad page on Apple but the new stuff hasn't been published yet.
 
I'm not seeing where anybody mentioned the Mini4 outside of the price sheet...

Are specs out?
 
Even when they release the specs, they probably won't include details such as color gamut or speaker volume. We'll just have to wait until the various reviews come out, like usual.
