If what you are saying is true, then I think that you tried a dodgy unit. I can't recreate what you are saying without adding the sort of force that would make me worry about breaking it. No issue here.

My first-hand experience yesterday at the Apple Store is enough for me to conclude the iPad Mini 4 is not for me. Enjoy yours – my decision to purchase one is completely off the table.

Lol totally different experience from me.

Just tried an hour ago in store and now I'm even more convinced to get a Mini 4. One-handed usage is just perfect! Not too light for me but definitely not as heavy as Air 2. It's even easier than iPad Mini 2 due to Mini 4's reduced weight. Air 2 is great too but it's better to use it with 2 hands. I think weight distribution plays a part in determining difficulty of balancing the ipad in our hand. If I am getting Mini now, I am just afraid I can't get used to hold an Air 3 if I am getting it next year.

Honestly casing vibration is still there due to loud speaker volume. Speaker's volume is much louder than Mini 2. I compared them using max volume on both. But it does come with vibrating chassis although not as bad as last year's Air 2. Definitely a lot of improvement. If I didn't compare it to Mini 2, I might not notice that the chassis actually vibrated.

Performance-wise...i couldn't tell much difference between Mini 4 and Air 2 from my usage. Not sure what you guys expecting from a Mini or how you will use it but for me, it's basically media consumption with some productivity work. I never compare Air 2 and Mini 4 speed side by side but Air 2 probably is just a little bit snappier. I use it for browsing, youtube, social media, book reading, office work, light games, notes. Your experience might vary.

Picture proof? I've seen it recently on an iPad Air 2 store demo and if it's doing it on the iPad Mini 4 it's unacceptable.
