I have the

6S plus
Air 2
Mini 4
MacBook Pro

I have a need for all of them at different times. Mini 4 is perfect at work where I use the browser a lot on it. Sometimes it's easier to use at home but at home my use is the air 2

If I want work to do, heavy emails I use my MacBook

So if you are a heavy user and want to use a device on the go and at home you can find enough time for all of them

I have basically the same 4 except the 6S, instead of the Plus. I have different usages for each.

The Mini 4 is my onthego tablet and my dedicated reader. I had the Mini 2 previously and I am stunned at the beauty of the 4. They finally got the colors nailed perfectly...the screen is just stunning. I highly recommend it!

Hey Swarlos, our resident 9am to 3am user must have been referring to me. You know, the 'troll' who garnered 2200 likes on 1500 posts from 'trolling' lololololol. Ahhhh, silly little kids these days

Our resident? Buddy you don't know me at all so stop assuming. You must be the little kid following me here though

It's 9:54 troll isn't it past your bed time?

You quoted my post said and I was a troll from iMore. I was on there for three + years contributing.

A lot of us were... and we were kicked to the curb because of our responses to several posters who were obvious trolls, just looking to stir the pot. And Closingracer was one of them.

Now you're just deflecting blame onto other people. Own up to your mistakes

Given your situation, I wouldn't buy a mini 4.

What situation do I have? It's literally would be used on the train to read. I love my Air 2 but a mini 4 would be nice to have....just the $400 price tag is what making me wonder is it worth it. Only need 16GB since it will exclusively be for books. I am also considering a Macbook Air

The only mistake was wasting over 4 years of my life posting on iMore. I see you've followed us here. Not engaging you. Life and time are too precious.

Back on topic... I have an iPad Mini 4 and love it. It compliments my iPhone 6S Plus and my 2012 15" rMPB perfectly.

It's an awesome device and I rarely leave home without it.

Edit: 2010 apparently.

I currently own a 1st iPad mini.

Depends on everyone's needs I love mine, handy to have around. Use it when the other half is watching TV and I'm being to lazy to move so I'll start watching YouTube videos etc.

Currently use mine is a second screen for my MBP

*EDIT* just re-read the post, so mine now makes no sense.

For me personally I wouldn't bother if I had an iPad Air 2

Lol yeah that broke my heart. The sad part was what it took to have them finally do it.

I have nothing, NOTHING, against you. It began as joking and went way too far. I will say that I have both the iPad Mini 4, mostly for my daughter, and I have the 6S Plus. While I do find many times an advantage to using my MacBook over my Plus in order to have the much larger screen and dedicated keyboard, I seldom find the need for the ipad mini. It just doesn't seem to provide enough additional screen real estate, or functionality, to warrant setting the Plus down in favor of it.

I do sincerely apologize. I got caught up in the back-and-forth and while it started out seemingly light hearted.....it took a turn for the worse. I hope in whatever decisions you face, whether it be phones, tablets, or life in general...that you are able to make the best decisions for you.

Mike

I have a Mini 4, it has replaced my air 2 for the daily commute, far easier to hold on a train/bus, big enough screen for my media consumption, magazines, great for books and Podcasts. The screen is superb and less reflective than the Air 2 imo. I am finding it the jack and master of all trades for my daily use. At home I still use it for books as it is far easier to hold and the screen is now good enough to read on.

My Air 2 will be passed on to my wife and a Ipad Pro will replace it for all my other uses. It really is down to the use case for you, what is right for me doesn't mean it is for you so I thought I'd just give you an idea of my decision.

That's basically my use, but I can't part with the Air 2's larger screen for watching video at home, so I've kept both.

Yeah that why I am considering it ( the mini). I actually wrote off the iPad Pro but my desire to have new tech products that I'll use but don't need is making me think about the pro.

Such different devices though, The mini for travelling is perfect but obviously too small for your only device, luckily I'm not in that situation and I won't be paying for the Pro which does help a bit :)

Yeah Idk lol. Pro I just want because it's bigger....But bigger isn't always better :)

True, I wouldn't class the Pro as a true portable device and would be very hesitant with getting it out on a train etc, however the screen, speakers, graphics chip does give it a lot of advantages over the current range of tablets!
