I have a 32GB iPad, just checked, 17GB free.

I don't understand music on an iPad, do you have a giant belt pouch to carry it in. My music is on my iPhone and on my Nano.

iPad is books, magazines, PDFs mainly. Maybe a film or 2, films rotated on and off when viewed.

iPhone 5 preorders started at 12 PST, which is 2 CST and 3 EST.

Also, 12 central would be 1 eastern.

different strokes for different folks, I guess.

I travel a lot with my iPad for work and while out in the field. Nice to have music on the iPad when on airplanes and trying to also save battery on my phone.

I heard 2. I am ordering 2-4. And might keep all of them for my family. If not one is going on Craigslist (probably for a profit). Or I could return it to the apple store. Is the return policy on the iPad 14 days?
 
I am hopping Apple confirms the time, 3 am here, hope it rolls as smooth as the iPhone 5 did.

Oh and you discover users get 12% off if you order tomorrow , rep said they stack.
5% thru shop discover
5% online order
2% any thing bought on the 26th:)
 
I'm planning on pre-ordering a Black 32GB Wi-Fi tonight at 3AM EST as long as they start when they're supposed to. :) Already got my alarm set in case I fall asleep beforehand.

Who said that? According to the keynote the only delay was the cellular versions weren't shipping til a couple weeks later. I believe all version will be available tomorrow for preorder with WiFi ones being delivered next week. Don't spread bad info.

You are correct. According to their press release, all models will be available for pre-order.

"Customers can begin pre-ordering all models of iPad mini and all models of the fourth generation iPad on Friday, October 26 through the Apple Online Store in the US, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK."

i didn't know they stacked! i've already gottem my 5% online for the quater.... but didn't realize that i'd get the 2% that's going on tomorrow in addition to shop discover!

to get the 5% via shop discover... you have to go to discover.com, go into shop discover, choose apple then link to their store via the link they give you there... ONLY those purchases made via the link get the shop discover 5%

as for the 5% online purchases... as others have said.... do to discover and click the link that signs you up.... same with the double points for shopping on the 26th....

i got $300 in discover cash back bonus last statement! it's an awesome program!

I have a 64gb iPhone 5. I'm just getting the 16gb Mini cause I don't put my 2,000 songs/movies/tv shows on it since I use Spotify all day and I put pages, keynote, and MAYBE InfinityBlade on it. Those are the biggest apps I'll ever use. And I have a 15" MacBook Pro Retina so I don't need anything tremendously big as I have a laptop for my big boy things haha.

I am planning to get the iPad mini via pre order online but have a question about timing..

Apple states on the site that orders ship Nov 2 - so my question is that with the basic free shipping - what are the chances of the item arriving by Nov 9?

Reason I ask is that I will be on vacation after nov 9...

in Canada BTW.

Indeed, I see your reasons, but aren't there times you would rather take an iPad with instead of the laptop? I do all the time. If I am making a quick 1 day trip to say seattle and back, I take the iPad because it has the apps I need, plus music and movies when i do not want to drain the life out of my phone due to not being by a charger all day.
