... amazing you folks are basing your "return the rMini" decision based on a small part of an otherwise GLOWING review. Even so, Anand loved the display and chose the rMini as his personal tablet. Same goes for Verge, Cnet and Engadget.
How about seeing the rMini for yourselves before jumping to conclusions?
IMHO, the older iPads are too saturated and contrasty. It actually caused me eye strain to look at photos for more than a few minutes. The rMini and Air look far more natural. Apple chose to use a different color profile for good reason.

This made me go check. Up until now none of the stores near me have had it. But this time it appeared in Georgetown. That's only 7 miles down the road so I ordered it for pickup and cancelled my online order.
Now I just need the ready for pickup email.
Are those who received a free case all from the States?
I am in Canada, they made a mistake on my shipping address and ordered on the first day when it launched but still sitting in HK for almost 5 days now. called apple just now but they never mention about free cases, instead they said if the order is not going to get here on time, they will resend another order expedited...... they just correct my shipping address without saying anything....

Just departed Louisville at 3:20pm. No departure scan from Chek Lap Kok, no arrival scan in the US, just boom departure scan from Louisville. UPS really need to work on updating their systems, but at least it's finally moving again.
I'm in the US. I asked if I could have a partial refund for all the grief the weird tracking has caused and the Associate said she couldn't do that but she could offer me a case.

I never saw a departure scan from HK , it just showed up this morning as being in Arnhem so I'm hoping it's the same now and that it's on it's way and will show up in Paris tomorrow !

My 32 GB ATT model was delivered this morning, to my surprise. I got a shipping notification on Friday, and it left Shenzhen on Saturday with estimated delivery Thursday. I checked the tracking site during class this afternoon (Monday) and to my shock it was already delivered. Wow. And I live in a middle-of-nowhere college town in upstate NY.
For what it's worth, I ordered it in the afternoon on launch day with standard shipping.

Yeah, there are several tiny college towns upstate. I'm not in Geneseo (I'm by another Finger Lake further east). But I guess compared to some of the even smaller ones my town isn't that tiny.

small sample size, but I am also from Canada, and the rep just kind of laughed, said she'd check, and then told me no. Kept referring me to Apple's website though to keep an eye out for promotions? Not even really sure what she was going for with that line.
My 64gb rmini cellular AT&T was order about 45 minutes after it went on sale Tues. 12th. It just arrived fedex international standard at 3:00 local time. It was scheduled to arrive tomorrow by 4:30. It's awesome!!! No screen issues. Excellent!! A happy camper here!
