Being a Flight Simulator fan this is very interesting. If you click on the link you can see the actual plane, it's position, miles left to Memphis, speed, etc...I clicked on the white plane to see if I could see my iPad Mini in the planeVery good detective work JalinLLC...I think!
No joke, that is totally cool!! I just wish I could contact the plane and have them parachute my mini down to me since they will practically fly right over me!
Product is loaded up on a palette with many other orders. They are shipped and tracked as a lot until they reach a sorting facility in the US. Then the lot is split and sent via their usual means inside the country. It's a way to offer slightly cheaper international shipping from factories to customers.

If this is true, then the 11/20 delivery estimate many of us have feels pretty conservative, doesn't it? My Smart Cover took 1 day to go from received in Memphis to delivered to my doorstep.
Mine (32gb Verizon, 1 black, 1 white) are apparently shipping through HK. Who knows where they are right now, I'm guessing they're enroute to Anchorage.

Still stuck in preparing. With all the shipment chatter I feel like a kid standing on the outside of a toy store watching all the kids inside getting ready to receive their Christmas gifts. Sadness (T_T)

I guess I am a bit sad as well. I sold my iPad, so I have no iPad at the moment.
Wouldn't suck so bad if I wasn't using my iPad for task management and other things as such.
I've gone back to pen & paper ! .... I'm getting used to it.

Originally ordered white 64 gb AT&T the minute preorders went live. I decided to change to black on Nov 6th, as it looked like it would not make much of a difference in shipping, as they all said mid November back then.
I called and got shipping bumped to next day Nov 16th delivery, and it still sits there in a processing status, not even preparing for shipping. Got a free green smart cover, which came 4-5 days ago. CC has not been charged.
So what is the deal if we are still processing? Can't imagine I will have it in my hands less than 48 hours from now, even though it still says Nov 16th, because I have no shipping/tracking email or anything.....
Thoughts?
I will buy in store Friday if they start selling!

spit balling again, but maybe it's possible that because you, like me, had an upgraded 16th Next Day date, that apple is holding them so that they don't ship out and deliver to anyone earlier than Friday? .... /shrug .... i gave up tracking at this point..
I think I'll cancel my order tomorrow morning & pickup whatever full size or mini ipad is available tomorrow at any store.
I'm not going to wait on Apple to figure out how to get delivery info timely to me. I have to reschedule my life schedule for a unclear delivery schedule just for a tablet? nope ... Sorry Apple.

Those two planes FDX90 and FDX98 both arrive within minutes of each other. I expect the vast majority of us will see a delivery on Friday.
Mine has the same tracking info. I think they are also headed to Memphis on the 10:02 flight out of Hong Kong set to arrive at 9:52pm CST.

track the minis by reference is a waste of time one of them shipped and tried tracking that one by reference to see if I tried to locate the other and Fedex says it can't be found so its a lost cause.

So since the Minis will be in Memphis tonight, I wonder what the chances are of getting them sorted and put back on planes tonight to their destination cities?
Does anyone know if Fedex main hub works 24/7? Even if they don't get sent out for delivery tomorrow and are at the "local FEDEX facility", I'm sure you can go and pick it up.
