I called Apple for answers...
I called Apple to inquiry about this, after all I did order within minutes of launch.
I explained the situation to the Apple rep & asked if it's possible to get a little more "insight".
The Apple Rep said, "I can absolutely help you with this, give a few moments while look into it".
He then proceeded to tel me, " Well it looks like your iPad mini is preparing for shipment and when it ships I should receive an email"
I paused to collect myself, and said, "The reason I'm calling is to see if I get a bit more "insight" from you other than the information that is already available when I log in and check".
The Apple rep then said, "well I can tell you that it's very typical that these might get delayed since it's a new product but you should be getting a shipment notification as soon as it ships"
...... It's very rare that I run into someone that can manage to tell me a whole lot without actually saying anything, and making it seem as if it helped..... maybe that's a quality desired to work there.
