so i forgot my password for my iPad and plus my computer that i synced it to got stolen a few weeks ago what do i do?😕😕😕😕

he's gonna have to wait for ios5 before he can restore it 'cause his laptop got stolen weeks ago...
or he could just take it into the apple store and see what they can do for him (don't they check serial numbers?)

my 2 year old son changed it

If that's true you have more to worry about than gaining access to "your" iPad. If your two year old is changing the iPad password, he'll be breaking into National Security websites by the time he starts kindergarten.

Suffice to say that the story sounds more fishy than ever.

so your two year old managed to log in open settings hit the general tab open passcode lock knew the old passcode changed it but can't remember what they changed it to?
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!

Make backup. Put into DFU mode and restore. Restore backup, it'll prompt you to enter new passcode. Don't, access old data and profit.

I'll help you restore it cuz i'm gently

You plug That cable into that slot and the other side in the other slot

Then you press that button between noon and 2 PM durant a full moon on a Febuary 29 when the grass is tall

:O

This does sound fishy...

But if true bring it to an apple store, they should be able to restore to default and then use your apple ID and Password to at least get your apps back.

Of course if you forgot that too... Well then your best bet is to return it to its original owner.

Lol, I think he forgot where the Apple store is located, so that won't work either!

How could you "forget it" if your two-year old changed it, thus you never knew it?

How could your two-year old possibly have changed it?

If your two-year old really is smart enough to change it, then he's smart enough to know what he changed it to. You can't just randomly type on an iPad screen and "accidentally" change the password.

You have to take the screen off and press the reset button inside the device. Look for some tutorials on how to take the screen off.

It helps if you put it in the microwave for a couple of minutes at 80% power. It loosens the glass and makes removal easier... 🙄

In defence of the OP, he has been registered for a year, so if he was planning to steal an iPad 1 year ago, then ask on here about the passcode a year later, I think it's very unlikly. Things like this do happen, give the guy a break and help him.

Restore, or go in to the Apple store, I'm sure a member of staff will be happy enough to help you. Pending if you can show proof you're the legit owner of the iPad.
