Rumor has it that the next iPad Pro 11 will feature a USB C Thunderbolt port. Does anyone know if this will solve the aspect ratio problem when connecting to a 27" monitor? Currently, when you connect the iPad to a large monitor, it displays black bars on the left and right. Would be great if Apple fixes this flaw.

Also, any other benefit of a Thunderbolt port in an iPad?

It will not. Aspect ratio matching has to be done with a s/w change.
