Hi All.
I just got a 12.9 iPad Pro and have been fast charging it with the new usb c to lightning cable in a 29 watt charger.
It charges quickly to 100% but after it gets fully charged, the iPad then beeps (with the sound you get when an iDevice is plugged into a power source) about every 15 minutes.
I am guessing (I can't confirm this) that it correlates with the iPad stopping its charging after reaching 100%, then when the charge % dips slightly, active charging restarts (as is usual). What never has happened with my other devices, however, is the repeated beeps while it's been continuously plugged in.
The standard iPad charger doesn't seem to do this excessive beeping and plugging the 29 watt charger into a different outlet didn't seem to help. It also didn't matter if it was plugged into a power strip or not (I originally thought that the charger's weight was pulling it out of the socket a little and causing a loose connection but that doesn't seem to be the case.)
Is the repeated beeping normal or do I have a bad 29 watt charger (or something else ) going on? Even if your fast charger doesn't do this, please let me know-- that'd be helpful information.
