The only way I buy an iPad Pro 2 is if there's an Intel CPU inside. Intel begged Apple to use the Core M chips in the current iPad Pro line up 12.9 and 9.7 but the package was not ready and didn't physically fit the 9.7 Pro. So Apple can't offer one IPad Pro with an Intel chip and one with an A9X. So now comes the 10.5 Pro soon and 12.9 with Intel Core M CPUs and the 9.7 Pro gets a $100 drop and the Air 2 gets axed.

Where is your source for all this? I'm pretty positive no iPad will ever come with an Intel chip.

March is likely, but I wouldn't be surprised if we see alternate iPads in march for a more consumer-focused line, along with some much coveted new Watch bands. Then Pros next fall, with minor bumps to the MBP.

Also keep in mind that only the MacBook Pro saw updates. That means MacBook, iMac, Mac Mini, and Mac Pro are still on the horizon. We could see them in March with the new 10.1" iPad.

Yeah, Apple using the Core m chips makes zero sense. Apple has a ton invested in developing their own silicon, and it is working. The A9X easily out performed the Core m in the 1st Gen rMB. I don't know the exact stats, but I'm sure the A10 is still kicking the the current gen's butt. Also, iOS is extremely optimized for ARM and the A-series chips, more so than any other tablet maker's software. I'm sure Apple has a version of iOS for x86 locked in a R&D lab somewhere, but it's not going to be nearly as refined, efficient and tightly integrated with the hardware as the ARM versions.
