Hi,

Just wondering what people think will be happening with iPad Pro 2? When it will be arriving and what you think will be different and improved?

I brought one early this year and can't see myself ever going back to the paltry 9.7" screen.

Only disappointments for me in G1 have been the Apple Pencil, which has been too specialised. And a general lack of 'pro' feel when compared to the non-pros. Yes, it's better in every regard but nothing 'Pro' about it apart from pencil integration.

Is it worth selling now before G2 is announced to get a better price? Thoughts?

Besides the faster speed of the A10X or whatever they call it I expect to see some big time Adobe integration with Lightroom and hopefully Photoshop. If that happens I am in.

The pencil transformed the iPad to me from a consumption device to a productive one in a professional sense, so is totally pro for me. I can see though in every other way it is not that 'pro'.

Further integration of the pencil, and development of 'pro' apps would be great. Some existing apps on the iPad 13" [Linkedin I am looking at you.....] are quite clumsy in appearance.

iPad Pro 12.9 is a very interesting product but it is not there yet in terms of sales to make developers update and create apps specifically designed for it. Maybe it will happen when Apple releases Pro 2 and a redesigned iOS for the 12.9.

Not only LinkedIn but Facebook app as well. Still hasn't been updated for the big iPad Pro and looks awful.
I could forgive apps that don't support the larger screen of the 12.9 iPP *IF* they supported split window. On the 12.9, split window apps look almost exactly as they do on the 9.7 iPad (and practically the same physical size).

i think it is way too big.. They should reduce bezels and get the ui and apps to work with that size. now it looks abit... hmm... beta -product.

All I hope for is a better screen-surface grip when it comes to the Pencil. Because when you're used to drawing on paper with a tooth, or the surface of an Intuos, the slipperiness of the glass panel is kind of annoying.

Astropad for $30 and you're pretty much there.

Have you used it? It's 100% lag free and pretty much makes things like the Cintiq, etc obsolete.
yeah it sucks. bugs and half my tools dont work right. no lag? are you joking? every time i move the screen it has to do this interlaced screen draw. its ok for a little light duty stuff but it cant replace my cintiq yet. no buttons, not enough hotkeys for my workflow. plus, there is no way to color calibrate the ipad pro so its useless for color critical workflows.

i hope apple does hardware screen capture (like a cintiq) so we can get true 1:1 pixel representation instead of the interlaced hacks astropad does.

its ok for simple workflows though. just depends what you do or need. peace!

Lag free here between a 12.9" iPad Pro and a 27" iMac. Granted, my use case may be "simple", but I'm happy with the way it works and it integrates nicely with the tools that I use regularly.

right on good for you. i tried it 8 months ago so maybe its less laggy now. but looking at current reviews there is still a little lag. still no solution for anyone who prints out art. but thats a a problem everything in iOS has.... wish astropad was a cintiq replacement for me but no way its not close for my workflow. still hoping for hardware built in onthe next ipad pro. its really the only way.

According to one rumour from Kuo, there won't be an upgrade until this March, but I'm still hoping for the 12.9 to be updated next month. There was a picture of a 12.9 running ios10 version unseen so I'm hoping that comes true.

Features to bring it up to iPad Pro 9.7, 3D Touch, new black colour!

On the software side, the rumours have been that ios10 is made more pen friendly in March like the galaxy note or ms surface. Be able to draw on safari, on screenshots etc.

yes so the 2 rumours combine in one event/upgrade for the ipads for March

I don't think there will ever be another 12.9 inch iPad Pro....the first generation is most likely the last of its kind...Apple will be downsizing to 10.5 inch, 11.5 inch or 12 inch based on rumors

The rumours I've read suggest there will be a 12.9 with a 10.5 and a cheaper 9.7 inch next year. But they're all rumours.
