Mine also says ships out today. If it ships tonight with delivery tomorrow, it doesn't leave us much time to hold it at UPS or FedEx for pickup.

Not sure if we will have that option, but I hope so. I wasn't able to on my last phone from at&t, the required delivery attempt first.

This may sound silly but do I need to worry about the Pencil scratching the screen. Back when I played video games on my Nintendo DS, the stylus would always scratch the screen protector.

He discusses this issue at 4:37.

Just keep the screen clear of debris and you'll probably be fine.

Yeah, the difference is that with the cheap-o 10 cent styluses that Nintendo uses is that they don't even bother to deal with the flashing on the stylus after it pops out of the mold. Too expensive for such a cheap part. So you can actually get sharp bits of plastic scraping across the surface.

The Pencil tips are made to much tighter tolerances and appear to have been sanded and/or polished. Partly why the replacement tips are so expensive. But they can still drag crud across the screen if it is already there.

I got the notice just after midnight EST that it had been shipped. But ever since then it's been languishing in Chengdu, China. It's been there for 14 hours now. But it's still reading as "on time" for delivery by the end of the day tomorrow.

So hopefully I'll get an iPad Pro 9.7 256GB with cellular on my birthday :)

I clicked on the ? In the green bar on UPS site and it said the status might not change until delivery.

I ordered a 256GB Cellular at first. Then realized my current iPad is just full of movies I've already watched and the only reason I keep buying the big iPad is I think I need the space when I don't and since I have space, I keep filling it up with videos I don't watch.

So I canceled the order last minute and got the 32GB one this time since I seem to stream everything anyways.

My iPhone 6+ with 64 GB soon filled up with the HD videos I took with it. Wish I'd ordered the 128.

Ordered the 256 GB iPhone Pro as its 4k video cameral will pack on the pixels.

Mine shipped today for a delivery tomorrow. 256GB Space Black. I'm excited, my first cellular iPad. Also coming from Nashville.

One space grey 128 gb wifi and one space grey 128 gb wifi + cellular deliver tomorrow.

If you're interested in using your Pencil for something other than art, I made a music app called Composer's Sketchpad that supports it. It's basically a sequencer where you can draw out each note to any length and bend it to any pitch, allowing you create curvy and complex melodic lines (guitar solos!) in a way that no other app does. It's a bit different from most other music apps in that it's not meant to sit in the middle of an audio production/performance chain, but I'll certainly be adding more power features as time goes on.

Really looking forward to getting my iPad Pro at the Apple Store tomorrow. I originally implemented Pencil support on a 12.9" iPad Pro, but it was too big for me and so I've been Pencil-less for my own use of the app ever since. :(

Anyone else have different information on the UPS mobile site vs the desktop site? On the mobile I see delivery tomorrow, on the desktop, no date and less info...

Nothing from AT&T for me yet. I just want to be able to hold it at my local UPS if it comes tomorrow.

Target shipped early and as expected received mine today. This true tone and the speakers are insane

I'm using a plastic screen protector I had in a multipack from my Air 1 for now until a nicer tempered glas one arrives on Saturday. I definitely think it's worth using one if scratches would annoy you (and they'd really bug me!) and since the pressure sensing is sent entirely over Bluetooth it shouldn't impact the performance as someone pointed out to me earlier here (sorry can't remember who) so really it's personal preference, I think the pencil is liable to scratch if debri gets caught and that's almost impossible to fully guard against, but if you can live with the possibility of scratches then go protecterless! :)

So exiting to see people's iPads arriving! :D enjoy it! I hope to wake up tommrow to see "out for delivery"! Tell us what you think, make us even more jealous ;)
