This was my first time pre-ordering an Apple product, always went to buy in-stores on launch, I feel this is so much more stressful than just waking up early on launch day and getting it in stores LMAO

iPad Pro 9.7 ordered / Waiting for delivery

So exiting to see people's iPads arriving!enjoy it! I hope to wake up tommrow to see "out for delivery"! Tell us what you think, make us even more jealous
Hehe, thank you, sometimes there is a benefit to being in Australia. That didn't happen with the original iPhone or iPad, so maybe this is helping make up for it.
I had been setting my iPads up from backup since my first iPad & never had an issue or noticeable performance problems.....but I have read that setting up as new can help with performance, so I have decided to set it up as new this time. I have loaded my most used apps on it already, but have many more that I will add at lunch time and tonight (I'm at work).
I am going to a meeting in 15 mins in which I will use the iPad with Apple Pencil in Notability. Makes me more excited for the meeting today. lol
I got the 256GB iPad.....so will be able to load even more TV shows, podcasts, photos, etc. Plus, I like adventure games & those find-it adventures which are large in size.
Wishing you luck in iPad deliveries. I better prepare for my meeting.
Well Apple has officially screwed up. My iPad is not coming on launch day and has been rescheduled by UPS for the 1st. I ordered about 30 minutes after the store opened. The label was printed on the 23rd, but they didn't move it until last night to Eastern Canada. They still have to fly it west to BC. On the bright side, I can finish my term paper with no distractions now lol.
it could be worse mines not coming until the 4th.
Some guy in texas ordered on the first day and he's waiting until the 10th.
And Texas has like a bajillion people in it so it makes no sense.

Oh yea this one will be for sure starting fresh, I want to feel the raw power of that A9X
with no old backups to slow me down! Please do tell me how the using an iPad as a note pad works out! I bought the pencil to use for note taking and diagrams (I will try arty things but I can tell you it won't go well! ) Also would you recommend notability? Does it work well with the pencil? And can you put notes in folders? Oh and is the canvas you write on with the pencil limited or can you scroll for more space?Right now though I have a very expensive and rather useless pencil on my desk, waiting for the Pro to show up in a few hours!
True. Very true. I can be thankful for the fact that it'll probably be here before the weekend. It's just frustrating to see Canadian shipments being moved by UPS Standard and American parcels being sent via overnight delivery. I have no problem with Apple holding stock, but with the price increase across the border and a lower tier shipping service, I can't say that I'm impressed.
Not so sure about that. UPS didn't receive the parcel until today. It looks like the Canadian iPads were being held across the border because they only cleared this morning. If UPS had received the parcel and held it for a week that would be another question.
I didn't pre-order but I find it hilarious that people are freaking out about a 1-3 day delay. Life will go on, your keyboard will show up... I can drive to the store tomorrow and get an iPad on my lunch break and I don't have to worry about checking a tracking number every 15 minutes and wondering why my stuff is still in China.

Yes, so setting things up still since I've set up as new. Feels very fast so far. Haven't had the chance to try out graphically intense games yet.
I'm new to Notability myself. Liking it so far. I set up a Work divider and can then put categories in there for each work project, then notes within projects. I like that. The pencil works great. When using the pencil, you use two fingers for scrolling and it's as simple as scrolling up with two fingers to add another page. The pages are continuous and there is a page break line in between them. So far, I like it.
Just got notification from FedEx. Delivery tomorrow. Sure hope I can have it held. No way I'll be home, and they have a bad habit of dropping stuff on the front step, not even on the porch.
I agree, the pre order and the waiting and sharing is a big part of the fun.
