What a let down in Sound quality compared to my old plain ipad.
Called Apple several times - no fix.

For 1k I expect more.
Anyone else notice the lackluster sound?

What older model is your comparison? Many older ones have only two speakers and at the same side. You should hear a pretty significant difference from that alone.

No. The IPP 11” that I am currently using is as good as the 10.5” IPP I was using previously.

My 2018 iPad Pro 12.9" has fine sound for a device of this type. I agree with AutomaticApple, and suggest you contact Apple about the issue.

Good luck and I hope you get it settled to you satisfaction.

Hard to understand what is happening with this particular iPad - when exactly was it purchased, what exactly is bad about the sound, what efforts have been made to get Apple to help? If it is current generation iPad Pro then it can't be older than 8 months - should still be under warranty.

I have been absolutely delighted with my ~ 1 month old 11" iPad Pro, in all respects and including sound quality compared to other lesser iPads we've owned. If I was experiencing a problem, I would either take it to the Genius Bar at my closest Apple Store, and/or initiate a support chat with Apple to get them involved.

Without being able to listen to an audio clip of the alleged bad sound quality, how do you expect people to offer a reasoned helpful retort? You offered hardly any meaningful information with your OP.
