iPad Pro iPad Pro is bent

My brand new 11 Pro has a visible warp. Not enough to return or complain about though.
According to Apple, there should be "no more than 400 microns of deviation across the length of any side", which is less than the thickness of four sheets of paper.

I’m saying I noticed the bend overnight. Perhaps some sort of expansion while charging or from heat etc.

Have put it under a stack of heavy books all day, which has fixed maybe a third of the noticeable bend

I didn't think of that. Heat stress, causing the bending? Wow... I suppose it's possible, since glass and aluminum don't expand at the same rate. I'd expect to see more screens popping off though unless the screens aren't expanding more than the aluminum case. Still, if it's heat expansion, wow... Maybe they need a fan? :oops:Or a more heat stable material for construction. Still, I haven't known aluminum to expand that much with heating...

I recieved a pro 2020 bent out of the box. Apple gave me a nightmare trying to get it replaced.
I’m worried now as one side is overheating when using so is there another magic bending iPad about to happen with my own device?
Possibly.

IF it is anything causing the bending it is the unbalanced and dumb approach to the camera bump. I bet if there was no camera bump the rocking back and forth when laid on its back they would not bend.

You can return a iPad during the 14 day window for any reason. In fact, you don’t even have to tell Apple anything other than you want to return the purchase. You are then free to purchase another device.

Even if this were the case (it's not), the camera bump is not even close to thick enough to cause what the OP is reporting, and it's not even on the same side of the device as where this bend is anyway. Also, if the camera bump had done this (it didn't), the bend would be in the opposite direction.
