Out of curiosity, I live in the UK and when I purchased the iPad Pro M4 I took out the Applecare+ lump payment for 2 years.

Once the 2 years is coming up to expire, will Apple automatically offer the iPad to continue with AC+ with monthly payments or what actually happens?

I don’t have a M4 IPad Pro yet, but I was planning to buy one when the M5 was released.
But when I see all these scary numbers of people having 90% battery health just after 200-250 cycles, I think I pass😅

Currently using a 11” Pro from 2020 and I have 470 cycles and 90% battery health according to the app imazing.

Bought an M4 11" 3 months back. Very happy with the battery life. Use it extensively. Think it will last a long time.

I just had my 11" M4 iPad Pro with Cellular replaced by Apple Support under Express Service Replacement due to how badly the battery health was in comparison to how little cycle counts were on the iPad. I used it here there and my partner would also play RollerCoaster Tycoon on it here and there before bed. No major or stressful tasks that would have caused any excessive heat or anything.

I don't have a screenshot from the iPad itself from before I sent it in but I have a Coconut Battery reading saved and here it is at 92% Battery Health at 195 Cycles:

Thankfully I had AppleCare+ and was able to request an express service replacement without too many questions and push back from Apple since it wasn't below 80%, thermally speaking the iPad was also warmer than the replacement I got since.

The one I got was manufactured in September 2025 compared to my original which was manufactured in March of 2024 and first used in July of 2024.

I absolutely think there is either a bad batch or absolutely terrible battery/thermal design in the M4 iPad that's causing the batteries to **** the bed early.

This would be a deal breaker for me. If I'm spending this kind of money I want a quality battery inside. Sounds like apple is cheaping out on the battery because they want everyone to upgrade every year,

Recall this product, it is defective
