Same thing happened here. I just changed it to short hold instead and it works well now.

Is anyone having the issue where when they double tap to activate circuitous it closes the app you're in instead of bringing up the switcher? It doesn't do that on my iPhone only on the iPad...

You have to change the default iPad home button behavior to "Search" in settings to prevent this and keep double click as an activator for circuitous.

Settings > General > Home > double click Home Button to > select "search"

Should work in-app after that.

Ah it worked! Thanks a lot.

This is pretty cool, but can I point out how inelegant it is compared to webos?

Hopefully the implementation in iOS 4 will be better.

I installed this even though I would prefer ProSwitcher for the iPad. What I don't like is that I only get a very small dock in the upper left corner and it only displays 3 and a half icons with no way to scroll over to get those hidden to the side. Anyone else seeing this??

Okay, nevermind, it does scroll. However, why such a small, odd-shaped dock??

you can change that in settings so that it goes down the entire side(top bottom whatever) and also enable 2 rows that stretch the entire area. you can also add in favorites for fast access from inside other apps. this paired with virtual memory is amazing

i love this app. it is my filler until multitasking OS4 comes. what this app does make me realize is how glaringly low the iPad's RAM (or apps with bad memory management) is. i can barely run 2 apps without one quiting on the other.

@oftheheavens i wonder if you can do virtual memory with usb sticks? (techaware people, laugh all you want if it sounds like i'm trying to make a zebra act like a donkey)

you mean like with the camera adaptor or something? that would be a lot of code i would think. Just do it on your ipad. i can have as many tabs and apps open as i want, and it always writes to different mem blocks so the chance of damaging your ipad at faster rates is null

ah. fair enough. yeah. i might do it just to have a go at running a few apps at once. i wonder if apple is going to officially enable this when OS4 comes to iPad. i cant see how they can allow multitasking without this.

they will, that is how they will allow multitasking, only difference is they will only open it to use a certain amount since on ios4 the apps don't really continue to run but actually pause current state and background.

Circuitous is indeed great, sorry if this sounds obvious, but what does Virtual Memory add ?

Wow, thanks I didn't even know you could do that. And I just found out wide mode. Works even better.
