Ok if this is old news I apologize. I just noticed that when scrolling webpages you can jump up to the top very quickly by touching the top of the iPad screen. Works great for when I am on the forums.

This will actually work by touching the to top part of the screen anywhere, doesn't have to just be the top left corner!

I wish it worked for scrolling down as well, only works to speed scroll upward.

It's actually touching anywhere on the status bar. Works the same on the iPhone as well, but not every application supports the gesture.

Oh it works touching anywhere up top? Nice! I guess I never browsed the web much on my iPhone to have known this.

I am sure there might be other clueless people out there like me that might appreciate the tip :)

+1 always missed that on the iPhone, especially on blogs. Many don't have a pg2 link at the top

What’s new with the iPad is that for the split-view it depends on where you tap the status bar. If you tap the left side of the status bar the left pane scrolls up, while if you tap the right side the right pane scrolls up. Try with Mail in landscape orientation for example.

My question is, why can't we have the Pages scrolling in Safari (or every app)?

Let's hope we see it in 4.0.

Agreed. Especially for when you are at the bottom of a very long page and hit the menu bar by mistake...

I'm not sure if this is with any page that has a scrollable frame or just google reader, but I noticed you can scroll the inner frame on reader if you use two fingers to scroll. I would assume this is true on any scrollable inner frame.

it does this on the iphone's texts too,
you can scroll to the top of text message conversations by tapping the top.
just don't double tap otherwise you might accidentally call them.

    So it does work.

I tried it at store units (still working on getting my own :D) and couldn't get it to work.

Only question is, when are they going to implement that same function for the bottom!
