I got the Black Leather. I prefer the more executive look of the Leather Covers to the fun and 'care free' look of the colourful Polyurethane Covers.

i was considering Grey Poly as it was cheaper, but the leather looks so much nicer, and is probably more durable and longer lasting.

I owned a blacked leather smart cover.
I would recommend the poly covers, it's more durable imo.

I got the green one last year with my iPad 2 and regretted it after a few months as it was getting dirty very easily so I got the black leather one to replace it and it's perfect! I would defiantly recommend that one.

what a strange way to recommend something

sort of rubs off

I've had the red leather smart cover on my iPad 2 since I got it about a month after launch. Whenever I put it in my bag, I put the iPad with smart cover in an incase neoprene case. The inside lining of the neoprene case shows some evidence of the red dye rubbing off on the white lining, but ever so slightly. There's never been a sign of the red rubbing off on the device or onto anything else. I do treat the leather with the same treatment that I use on my car's seats (Maguiars I think) and it gives it more of a natural/organic look. I definitely recommend the leather over the polyester since the polyester covers that I've seen have all looked dirty.

The Apple store makes mention that the colour of the leather cases might rub off. Has anybody experienced this? I’d like to get a RED case for my white iPad, but don’t want to end up with pink smears on my shiny new gadget.

Well I'm a vegetarian. However, there is truth to the plastic one possibly holding up better.

Some Mercedes you can choose MB Tex which is plastic or leather. Many choose the MB Tex to keep it looking good. Some 80s MB Tex still looks great. Some leather can hold up, but will still look aged.

Plus again, the plastic one is expensive enough for me.

Why are people wasting their money on these pieces of crap? Pay 23 dollars and get a marware or Casecrown case that protects the whole thing and still wakes/sleeps the device via magnets? 40 for the poly and 70 for the leather is a complete joke. Stop being sheep.

I have the following:
black, white
gray, dark gray, baby blue

My favorite one is the white one for the white iPad. It doesn't get dirty at all. Black is nice on the black iPad.

Dark Blue Leather

After reading several reviews, I decided on the Dark Blue Leather cover for my husband's iPod2. He is very hard on all his toys and this has held up very well.

Because some of us likes being sheep, on the other hand mareware and casecrown look like crap.

I ordered a red leather smart cover yesterday. There were no other colours that I liked. Am planning on keeping the whole thing inside a neopreene sleeve when travelling too :)

Wondering if supplies are a little low though as item still says 'processing' and i ordered yesterday morning. Impatient perhaps? lol

White? You mean cream?
I've been considering the cream. Half the reviews say it gets dirty as hell and the other half says it doesn't get dirty or is easy to clean.

Oops, I meant the cream.

The interesting about the creme color is yes it does attract the oils from your fingers even when your finger is clean. However, it becomes unnoticeable after smudging it of a few times, I don't have to do it anymore. This was only initially. Also, if you're careful about placing it on surfaces that are dust-free or cleaned regularly it will be fine.

That’s interesting to hear, as I was considering getting a neoprene case as well, just for when it’s inside my bag. I’m not too worried about any dye rubbing off in there.
Do you mean this cleaning product perchance?

Thank you for the information! :)

I'll either get the Black Leather or Dark Grey Polyurethane. Going to buy one later on today. But, I'll probably just get them both!
