I always use my yearly trip to the optometrist as a reminder to get some new microfiber cloths. I never wet them or wash them and they work like a charm.

ANOTHER REALLY GOOD HINT: The Smart Cover is a TERRIFIC screen cleaner. Make sure there is no gritty debris or anything on it before you use it, but if you fold it into a triangle and just wipe it over the screen a few times, it is amazing at cleaning the screen off. Again, just make sure there are no sand particles on it or anything first, but I guess that's something you'd want to be careful of with anything you use to clean it off.

Here's the thing for me....

I often use microfibre cloth through the week, but PERIODICALLY I clean it with a damp face cloth and cleaner (non corrosive or damaging). The reason I don't just use water all the time is the fact that over time, you are dumping a crapload of bacteria on your device. A study has shown that cell phones are some of the filthiest devices for germs and bacteria because people don't always wash their hands as well as they should.

Once in a while it is nice to disinfect it.

No I am not completely anal retentive haha but I do like to take care of my devices and my health.

But there's germs on everything though. FWIW, but I do agree to clean just like this guy says, this is what i do. Side note if you have a case on, clean the case too. Same theory as above applies. :D

WipeN'Klear

You guys ever heard of this? Bought a bunch of this from Costco. It is a biodegradable Lens Wipe that contains isopropyl alcohol. I am a bit concerned about bacteria that dwindling on my devices, so I think alcohol will do the job just fine.

My only concern is that will this alcohol wipes off the oleo phobic coating on the screen, and make it dry eventually?

I've been using iKlear and never been happier, but might as well check on this product and give it a try. I can use this with anything else, my glasses, my mouse, trackpad, and cleans the bacteria too!

Any thoughts?
