Surface/Surface Pro/Surface Book?

Completely different. Microsoft threw all of their weight behind changing Windows to make it a touch first OS. And they still don't have all of the things ready even after three years.

Do we really think Apple would be able to get third party OS X apps to move to touch?

Fair play to the OP for having a go at a new design

I personally would like a way to not have every app I have visible. A bit like android.

But I like the idea of an app showing last played etc..

Not a fan of icons that (significantly) change their appearance. Extra cognitive load for no benefit.
