I've done all of the screen tests, saved all kinds of gradient images - not one of my devices have an issue.

Why did you do all the screen tests and view all kinds of gradient images?

You have two camps. One camp says I haven't seen a perfect screen so there can't be any out there. Those people who "claim" to have a perfect screen must be half blind or liars.

The other camp says I haven't seen a bad screen so there can't be any out there. Those people who "claim" to have had 16 bad screens must be OCD or liars.

The truth is usually somewhere in the middle.

Well said. As a person who is often on the fence and see most things in shades of gray, I believe there are issues with some of the new screens but there are great screens out there too, so if I get a bad one I will keep trying. I don't know what the limit on that might be but so far it has only taken 3 tries.

So people are claiming to have perfect screens, but none of them can take a picture of a black background in a darker room or any safari page with the keyboard? don't get it.. I don't think there are PERFECT screens, like the 1st mini had.. I guess there are screens that are better and also screens that are worse.. I already saw 11 rMini screens, and they ALL had light bleed. some were acceptable, some were terrible. they ALL had a yellow tint, some were not that bad, some were really terrible. I also have the opportunity to play with 2 different airs, they both had the same issues. so, don't get me wrong, i'm not an OCD, my rMBP has a little light bleed in the corder, i can live with that. I can also live with some light bleed on the rMini, but I can't live with dominant light bleed and dominant yellow screen. I had 1 rMini that was acceptable for me (yea, it also had light bleed, but not that bad, and it also had a SLIGHT shift), but that unit had a strange bluish bar on the top.. So I had to exchange it, because I'm not ready to live with 3 issues, 2 are enough. So people, if you claim to have a very good or perfect rMini screen (which doesn't exist in my opinion), just post a picture, it's not that hard?

I've yet to see any iPad Air or rMini with a perfect screen. There are some that folks are happy with sure but I think the design of these devices precludes even backlighting.

I'm on my second ipad and this one has bad yellowing and the book spine effect too (book spine doesn't bother me so much but the yellowing is inexcusable).

I took a picture with my crappy 4s camera in a bright bathroom and its still obvious. I can take one in the dark too for it to become even more pronounced.

I might return this for a refund, I'm disgusted at apple. Sick and disgusted with this garbage.

I flipped the iPad over so the home button was on the top to attempt to better illustrate just how yellow this is on the bottom left by using the tab bar to show you. I could probably do better picture wise but I don't have any high end cameras.
