I'm really curious about that two way charging coil, if it really is present.
Will have to wait and see.

The charging coil is pointed out at 2:06.

There does not need to be a significant difference in a transmit and receive coil. The electromagnetic principle of reciprocity means something that is a good receiver is a good transmitter. The main differences would be in the electronics.

All of us that are waiting to get our devices so that we can actually use them for what they are intended to... and then we wake up to seeing someone ripping them apart just to prove components. /smh

3D Touch was useless technology. Why do you think no competitors adopted it? They waited and saw that it ended up not being very useful.
So which is it? 'Useless' or 'not very useful'? Because 'not very useful' means that it is only modestly useful (just not 'very useful'). And 'modestly useful' is definitely not the same as 'useless'.

Now we are just waiting for someone to complain that the iPhone should be thinner...
MacRumors forum complainers were banging that drum for years, yet when the bigger batteries with 5 (!) hour life increase are finally implemented, it's just crickets in here.

Finally Apple listened to us and increased battery life! The phones are only slightly thicker but thanks to that, and maybe to the lack of 3D touch, we finally have great battery life across the board. Last year they had the "pro" (more expensive) model with way less battery than the consumer one.
I have a Xs and now my battery is 90%, can still make it through the day but I have an entire year before upgrading and if it goes to 80% I'll have to charge it more frequently during the day, not great.

I have a two year old iPhone X that has been heavily used (7+ hours a day) and fully charged more than 800 times with 91% battery health. That's a dramatic improvement for me compared to prior iPhones.
Same, almost two years old X with heavy use and 91%.

Everybody, stop worrying about the iPhone battery.

Getting it replaced at authorised repair is $50-$100 depending on the model.

Big deal. You get another 2-3 years for your device.

With Apple’s extra long SW support for their devices getting the battery replaced makes a ton of sense.

Whoever made this video -I love them!

Note they are using Shenzhen street market soldering tools (e.g. Atten, You Yue, etc. ) which can be dangerous due to faulty wiring.

I use it often actually. It's a fantastic feature to charge headphones or other devices when it's just yourself out and about

I’ve never used it but wouldn’t say no to it. At the same time I don’t really care that much about it.

It’s way down on the list of wants for me.

Almost like many complaints are just from people who want to complain.

Sorry, but it is still two cells, just inside a different package. You can't manufacture lithium batteries in the shape of an L (for a reasonable cost)

They did their work driving positive changes and are waiting for apologists to thank them.

bigger battery, more power.

FYI....You’re Wrong:D

Think about it, if somebody can top off their Apple Watch or AirPods by using the bilateral charging with the phone, you’re telling others that wouldn’t use it? That’s a brilliant little feature that may not necessarily be a ‘game changer’, but would suffice for those travel or simply don’t have access to a Charger when they want the extra battery life for other devices. It has its potential for those who clearly will take advantage of this feature.
Stupidest gimmick ever, that’s why Apple didn’t waste their time,
You really think they can’t put bilateral charging in their iPhones???
They don’t want to, it isn’t worth it to satisfy spec people, they’re people that complain about something that they will never use,
