I bought an IPhone 11 pro a week ago to replace 6s+. I read about the PWM here so I was concerned if my eyes would be sensitive to the new screen. The first two days I didn’t use the new phone too much then since day 3 I started having this tension headache and slight dizziness that’s just not going away. I tried all the setup suggestions on Internet and even bought a pair of computer glasses, I’m feeling slightly better but the headache is not gone 100%. I just switched back to my old 6s plus and if the headache goes away in a day or two, I will return the 11pro next week. Now I’m torn if I should give 11 a try or just keep my 6s plus for another year..

Apple offers 14 days to return a phone without paying a restocking fee. Honestly, I would give the 11 a try. The vast majority of people who suffer from pwm have no symptoms with the 11 or xr. It’s definitely a better phone than the plus models in many ways. I had one for a week and inexplicably got a headache from it, so now I’m back on the 8+ for the third time and my issues are solved. The battery life and camera are better on the 11 for sure, but the biggest difference for me is the 11 feels noticeably smaller than the plus. You already have the plus, so it depends on how you feel.

I had discomfort with the 11 and it seems that i'm gonna get the 8+
You can't go wrong. The 8+ is definitely not the most advanced iPhone now days, but if you suffer from PWM it's the best choice. I recently picked up my third one, and it's a joy to use.

can you say a little more about what you were doing on the phones when you got headaches?
Pretty much just looking at the phone gives me funny feelings in my eyes(feels too bright for me even the brightness level is at 50%) and headache will follow soon if I start using the phone for texting, web browsing or gaming. I changed back to my 6s plus for 2 days, headache not completely gone but much better, and is not getting more severe as the day goes. I switched back to 11 pro to give it one more try and pretty much within an hour my headache worsened. So I’m definitely returning it this week. I went to the store to try 11 today, but I honestly cannot tell if 11 won’t give me the issue..
