Even though it goes live at 5 AM, Apple Store "being up" does not occur at the same time for everyone. There have been years where people couldn't place an order until 30 minutes later.

Done, ordered a Midnight Green Pro and a Silver Pro, both 64GB. I decided to downsize from the Max this year, I think I prefer the smaller size. I never usually have problems, but this year the Verizon store was having all types of issues, took a bit longer to get everything through. September 20th delivery for both.
Ordered through the app and went well. Rushed through, got 256G iPhone max in green. Delivery in Australia for the 20th however I’m overseas at the moment till the 22nd. Sent to work so will pick up from work on the 23rd, can’t wait!
Indeed good luck to everyone. I am very happy with my iPhone XS 256 GB. Can't wait for next year's iPhone with 5G, Bluetooth 5.1 and many other features. I hope they will bring the pro motion display to the iPhone by then.
Another typical Apple preorder. Had to force quit phone app to get into the store. Then had to re-enter all preapproval info that was already completed on Wednesday because the app app didn’t recognize it. Ship date slipped a week.
I wasn’t going to upgrade this year. But I figured why not? I am curious at the new Max Pro triple camera. I get a year of Apple TV+ free. And next year I trade this in for a 5G. So I pulled the trigger.
I'm trying to reserve one with the iphone upgrade program and it won't let me change the date. I don't want it Friday, I have plans! Can't choose Saturday urrrrrgggggg
Ordered mine, 20th of October. They didn’t charge my credit card yet, is that normal? Changed it most recently, just making sure there was no typo.
People are so predictable, always the new iPhone with new colors, as if Apple did not expect this beforehand.
Ordered 11 Pro Max Green 256 and 11 Pro Gold 256 at about 5:07 and got Sep 20th. Good luck everyone!

Same here; absolute BS. Apple encourages you to streamline your order with pre-approval, but then locks you out from other devices. My iPad and Mac got the store to load at 8:01; the iPhone didn't load until after 8:06. Seriously pissed because Apple screwed people who took their advice.

Same. Went live at 8:03, went to my favorites and got the 256 SG Pro Max, delivered on the 20th. Was checked out by 8:05.
Once the Apple Store app went live I completed my pre-order, but the shipping time already slipped to 9/27
Checked my order status afterwards and it says that it is on hold pending approval for the upgrade program even though I did the pre-approval! No idea why it would be on hold. Kinda bummed.

That sucks. I had the pre-approval stuff completed, then today I got to the checkout and I had to reenter my CC info. Didn't want to lose valuable time looking it up in the Wallet app (Apple Card), so I just grabbed my old CC and used that. There was no option to use Apple Pay.
