So I own a iPad Pro 11” 1TB with 6gb of ram. Hard to believe the iPhone 11 Pro has these specs with a cpu not far behind.

Anyone going to use they’re iPhone for some serious editing work? It surely seems more than capable!

I ordered the iPhone 11 Pro Max midnight green. So I’m curious to compare these devices in editing video.

I sure hope it has 6GB to prevent app reloads.
We just got 4 GB on the iPhone Xs (Max). xD

4 GB is actually plenty enough, believe it or not. If apps do reload more often then you think they should, it's probably either bad optimization in iOS and/or badly developed third-party app(s).

Obviously, more RAM is always welcome. I'd be a fool if I would deny that. :p But it's not like a total disaster if it is still at 4 GB.

For a phone called Pro it should have 6GB, future proofing is always a good thing. Don't forget what happened with the iPhone 6.

I have 32GB RAM on my desktop PC along with a 4GB GDDR5 video card inside the case, 2TB Samsung Pro SSD too.

Everything is sufficient accept for the gpu. I do a lot of 4K gaming and even Battlefield 1 from 2016 is using over 8GB of VRAM without AA on in levels with fog.
[doublepost=1568416377][/doublepost]I bought the iPhone Pro expecting 6GB of ram, i will be kinda disappointed if it only has 4GB. I’m confident 6GB will be onboard though.

I’ll be surprised if it actually has 6 GB but maybe then we’ll finally see a use case pop up other than rendering video edits faster as it is on the iPads so far. Ok, the occasional app might go a bit further with more ram here too.

On the other hand, I wouldn’t want to edit anything colour critical on an OLED screen- blacks are usually pretty enhanced on these. But then I’d probably never do much critical work on any device with that small a screen myself.

Yea, that’s what I said in another thread and fanboys tried to crucify me for it, don’t care, it will or I won’t buy till it does

It would be great if they have 6, but I am skeptical. We should know soon enough.

Pro in Apple land has always meant “a bit more powerful than the rest of our stuff”. If at all. It’s really just marketing.

I mean how can they release a Pro version iPhone, and it has absolutely no performance advantage over the standard iPhone 11 whatsoever but yet it cost $300 bucks more for just the base Pro model.

We have a Pro camera phone????

I would’ve just bought a basic iPhone 11 if I knew all of this.

I’ve already pre-ordered a 11 Pro Max green 256gb early this morning right when the timer ran out lol.

I’m excited either way, just a lot less now..6GB is really nice in Adobe Rush with 4K editing on my 1TB iPad Pro.

Damnit Apple give us a real Pro device.

Heres a few tips.

Better camera ok, more memory ok, faster and larger nand storage, higher clocked CPU frequency maybe 150mhz extra.

You are right...bang for buck...11 is way better phone, and you keep $600 dollars in YOUR account!

I stopped about an hour before preorder when I saw websites changing their numbers to 4gb instead of the 6gb wishes

So you can tell the difference between 4gb and 6gb? Wanna bet?

Well, you make a good point there, didn't think of that. They've made a bad choice by sticking with 1 GB RAM in the iPhone 6, that's for sure.

Probably some battery life vs memory trade off. But really, why stop at 6gb. Why not 8GB of ram in our iPhone pros?
