iPhone 11 Pro iPhone 11/Pro is ugly, i dont want to buy

Hello, perhaps my thread title sounds a bit harsh but iPhone 11/Pro isn't really''attractive''
Maybe for most of you, design/esthetic isn't fundamental but for me it does matter a lot
I currently own Airpods, iPad and iPhone SE, they all looks pretty and sleek
Not to mention about Macbook, iMac, keyboard, trackapd, any Apple products look damnn good
Why their own flagship doesnt sound appealing?
Dont get me wrong, its a pure beast according camera and battery life, but paying 999$ iPhone, i would expect more about esthetic!
Its time to replace my iPhone SE and my main choice -> iPhone XS or Galaxy Note 10
Because both of them look sexy to me, not 11/Pro

The XS your considering is identical to the Pro, albeit the camera is different but if anything, especially in a case it looks fine, if not better to me.

If you have an SE now, there are rumours of an updated 8 model with upgraded specs which will be an SE2 of sorts due out early next year, but this isn’t confirmed.

If your SE is still working ok, keep hold of that for another year and see what next years phones offer as a design change is likely.

In a nice case, I think the 11 range are nice phones, but it’s always a personal opinion in terms of aesthetics.

Apple sold millions of the things. I have mine with me. You're complaining about the back of the phone which is the part of the phone you won't ever see.

One of main iPhone designer left Apple some years ago for Samsung and guess what, they build up step by step, every generation, a prettier Galaxy phone until Note 10

Are you planning to marry the phone that looks matter so much to you or do you just sit there and stare at the phone all day long?

The iPhone 11/Pro is one of the best phones Apples has released in terms of specs, battery life, and most of all the camera. If you don't like how it looks land that's more important to you than the features, then see you.

I love the look of the three camera cluster. on other, previous models, the camera was to small a feature in the composition of the phone back. The larger lenses and the glossy finish of the surround as well as the darker shade make the camera a stronger visual feature. The look recalls the classic three lens generally professional movie cameras. But mostly it comes down to personal taste as others have pointed out. I've been an Architect for 40+ years so my aesthetic judgement should count for something.

Having said that, the notch isn't great. At first everyone was copying it, but other Manufacturers have found ways to loose it. Apple with its excellent facial recognition camera and sensor hasn't yet found a way to drop it. It will be solved with time.

What i pointed out in this thread but apparently some people didn't get it
This currently 11/Pro design tends to prove Apple is focusing on hardware over design (like i said 11/Pro are most likely the best iPhone by far, battery life and camera quality are top notch)
I know they had almost no choice for picking these 3 camera lens, its the way to go in order to catch Android camera rivals in term of quality and features
Of course, esthetic is rather subjective, i have my own and all i was arguing:
Design/esthetic doest count for Apple, its a part of their DNA
That why it seems weird to me, 11 design is bit controversial

Im a Graphic Designer myself and I definitely find the 11 Pro to be better looking than the XS. Having each lens lens separate from the other gives a more premium/aesthetic look than having them combined.

The x and 11 aren’t attractive phones but the backs are distinctive which shows up when people take photos of themselves in a mirror. The 11 and 11 pro really standout which is what Apple was going for. Free marketing.

when the iphones first got leaked, i thought they were the most hideous. changed my mind about that after apple showed the final product, and especially seeing it in person and owning it. i think it’s one of the most sleekest iphone designs in my opinion.

iPhone 11 Pro is Apple's ugliest phone ever. Plus it's thick and heavy. I guess Jony Ive left because of design conflict. Steve Jobs and him were so much about design, light weight & sleekness of Apple products. Tim Cook is more like a marketing man than the innovater. Apple is heading into Microsoft's direction, Microsoft has good products like their Surface Pro tablets but the design is very boxy. Their Zune player was also good but again design was very bad. Since Samsung's Galaxy S10 line now I really like their products. It's build quality is so much improved that sometimes I forget whether I have iPhone or Galaxy phone in hand. Before S10 Samsung was all plasticy. Lag has also gone and speed wise it's beast. Hopefully Apple's board will look into this design matter closely.
