Hi,

Just checked my battery health on my iPhone 11 Pro Max (have been using it since launch) and it's around 91% with 400 cycles on the clock. So far, everything works fine and no real signs of battery degradation. How's your iPhone 11 Pro Max going? Any problems with the battery so far? I was hoping to keep it without a battery change for one more year.

Kind regards.

Mine is now at 88% but the battery life is still pretty good, though I can now tell it’s not as phenomenal as it was when new but it’s still not too far off from it.

So far still loving this beast, I am also thinking of keeping it another year but I want to see the upcoming 13 Pro Max then I’ll take it from there. I have an upgrade coming up but I am thinking of simply dropping the contract and going prepaid and then get the battery replaced when it hits 80%.

my Iphone x has just got into the booting loop and keeps crashing face ID not working, what would you do if you were me? I need a new iphone now but happy to use a rubbish old one till sept 13, could I buy a phone from a store and use it and return it for full refund within 30 days?

Other alternative is to get the 11 pro max, what do you guys suggest?

Buy a used 7 (or SE 2020, whatever is more affordable) until the new phone is out.

Have you tried a DFU restore?

I bought my 11PM in March of 2020, and I currently have 87% battery health. I attribute the relatively advanced degradation to living in a hot climate.

But, spending $99 on a new battery every couple years isn't so bad. I'll probably get a new battery sometime next year.

I bought my 11Pro on March 1st 2020, and I don’t use it extensively since my old 6s does the bulk of YouTube and other streaming duties (side effects of WFH) and yet the batter is at 87% already.
It feels like a more than usual battery degradation but I don’t have any control over it.

Got my 11 Pro Max around the same month as you (early March 2020) and I am at 87% battery health now, seems to be normal, though I do use my phone heavily.

If you plug-in nightly, and/or ‘top-up’ charge intra-day, then lack-of-use may actually degrade the battery faster due it being effectively ‘stored at a high SoC’.

Loaded iOS 15 Beta 5 on my 11 Pro Max yesterday and I am pleasantly surprised that the performance of the phone seems to have picked up, it was never slow but it seems animations are a tad faster or the phone itself is just running a tad lighter in its feet?

Anyway, battery also seems pretty good, end of my workday and sitting at 47% so I’ll be good for the rest of the night.

My AppleCare+ expires in a few weeks. Went to Apple Store to get a battery replacement and they argued “We can only replace it if it goes to 79%). Any tips on burning out that battery? (I installed Pokemon Go so that should do it but I just want to make sure I do all the wrong things…)

Leave it in the car for maybe 15 mins every day with the windows pulled up.

Ooooh, I have the same problem with my old 6s (there's a post on this). Battery was changed January 2018 and it showed 94% from the first day till now August 2021. Never shown 100%. After 3 year, I guess the percentage should be around 85 + or -. So I'm not alone wit this bizarre bug.

My iPhones have significant battery health drop mostly after fresh install of ios.

I know this is about the 11 pro max, but this is is still 'kinda' on topic. I bought a new 8 plus in September 2018. It's currently at 81% with 800+ cycles. Not too shabby. I'll probably just replace the battery and see how long I can make the phone last, even though the 12 pro max is tempting. I guess battery longevity varies greatly between models and usage patterns.
