so replacing your new one with a non-retail one is a non-issue? I wonder if replacements in white boxes are manufactured to do just that for replacement? I wonder if down the line you try and sell it privately it will be an issue
Well, it won't be any issue to sell after all. You will get a report stating that initial unit is exchanged for a new one with new IMEI.

You think they open an extra assembly line for B-quality replacement phones? I don’t think so. Way too expensive.

Got a small dust particle/hair inside. Camera works fine. Screen is perfect. Not returning.

I have that issue too! Don’t know what to do!

My hair is more visible. Your hair is hardly to see.
I don’t know what to do too.

Exchange it! For this price a phone should be perfect! It’s like buying a new car with stains on a seat.

Exchange it! More issues being reported, more hope for a quality control improvement!

Lol make sure to check new screen. I bought two when I saw dust under my lense and ended up keeping the one with the dust. You’re just risking more issues, imo.

Hi, iPhone 11 pro owners! I have found dust under ultra wide camera glass? Please advise if anyone is having the same issue?

Hi, i do have a tiny small one on the ultrawide yes, however is barely visible with a torch near. I think is not a problem. what do you think?

Barely visible with a torch?! What do you think you should do. Hint: use common sense.

I don’t know if you guys (me included as I had this kind of problem before) are vocal minority or it is a widespread problem but it’s interesting why Apple has a hard time making phones without dust inside the camera.

They can glue the glass and the display panel together without dust getting caught in it. Why is it so hard doing the same on a much much smaller surface.

Probably these dust specs never affect the photo the camera takes but just for the simple fact that people are returning an otherwise perfectly manufactured product…they should do something about it at the assembly line.

My lenses look fine on my launch day 11 Pro in terms of internal dust. But I’m having a devil of a time keeping the lenses clean on the outside. Every speck of dust seems to just pull out of the atmosphere and cling to the lenses. I’d imagine this attraction gives greater opportunities for dust to work its way inside somehow when they’re assembling the iPhones.

I have an HTC 10 that had a lens like that. I always assumed it lacked an oleophobic coating. Fingerprints and dust would cling to it. I never had that problem with an iPhone lens until now.

Admittedly, I don’t seem to have those little colored lens flares anymore, either. So there is that positive and it may be why the lenses don’t appear to have any coating on them.

But now I have to keep a soft cloth with me or use my shirt tail to clean off my lenses before taking pictures or the photos will often have haze in them from dirty lenses.

And there is always crud around the lenses. That’s a bear to clean off. I vacuum out my pockets and keep the phone pocket in my purse clean but my phone lenses always look grungy around the little rings.

Is anyone else having this problem?
