No regrets on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. I feel like the upgrade from iPhone 7 to iPhone 11 Pro Max was worth it! Excellent battery, better screen, better camera! Im loving it so far!

I had buyers remorse going from XS Max to 11 Pro. It was fine. I just didn’t feel like it was worth upgrading and paying the extra money when my XS Max is perfectly fine. I also missed the bigger screen after a couple of days.

Returned it. Went back to my XS Max.

Follow up, exchanged the pro Max for the iPhone 11 and am very satisfied! If Apple kills it next year with the redesign I’ll pay for the premium device at that time but this is more than adequate!

you mean $400 more.

iPhone 11 256gb $850

iPhone 11 pro Max 256 $1250

Solid steel construction, better camera, big 4,000mah battery, and 6.5” AMOLED is worth it to me!

I think he was saying he only needs the 128gb the Apple care is cheaper and less taxes.

I was using a iPhone 7 too. Day and night. Super premium phones.

oh ok, well $550 less will only buy 64GB. I thought they were creating unrealistic big numbers

People only pick up a phone because it cost more and then complain about it later. Those pro phones are for tech people and business men who are looking to keep their phone a long time. Any tech person knows there is a big difference which is worth the price. People still say they can't tell the difference between LCD and OLED

It’s $550 for me because I only need 128gb. Since the pro max doesn’t come in 128, I had to get 256. I also save $50 in AppleCare.

No, not 64GB, 128GB on the 11. AppleCare is less on the 11 as well. If you need to use Apple care (or worse yet pay out of pocket) repairs are less on the non-pro models as well, saving potentially even more in the future.

I had the 11 pro and exchanged it for the11 yesterday. I’m pleased with the slightly bigger LCD display. Telephoto lens wasn’t something I needed.

Most people don't need or want 256GB, so then the choice realisticly, for a lot of people, myself included is:

iPhone 11 128GB $749
iPhone 11 Pro Max 256GB $1249

That's a $500 difference, which is more realistic, as both 64GB options are too restricted in storage capacity for most people.

I can see a difference, but not a $500 difference (11 128GB vs 11 Pro Max 256GB).

I have to say that the 11 size feels a lot better in my hand than the Xs Max size. For some reason the small difference in dimensions makes a big deal. Also, the 11 isn't as "top heavy" as the Max sized phones, so the weight is distributed better.

My Xs Max OLED looks great, and is sharper than the 11's LCD. But thats the advantage... The OLED also has several disadvantages when compared to the LCD:

1. PWM flickering, it is very real, and affects everyones eyes wether it's directly perceivable or not, it does cause more eye fatigue.
2. More yellow/warmer display, which is not as natural and neutral looking as the LCD. The 11's LCD matches the colors and look on an iPad an MacBook Pro. The OLED doesn't - the colors look vastly different, warmer, and more saturated on the OLED... Which is great if all your devices uses OLED's, but that's rarely the case for most people.
3. The 11's LCD is actually brighter than the Xs Max OLED, even though they are supposed to be the same.

But yes, the OLED has higher resolution, which is noticeable in some cases (games and video especially, but not so much in daily regular use).

Actually it’s a $550 difference. AppleCare costs $50 more for the Pro, and most people get AppleCare on phones this expensive...

Not a single person on here has mentioned build quality differences, and durability, or longevity of the actual device physically.

the iPhone 11 is aluminum. My iPad Pro was ever so slightly tapped with hard wood standing in a door way and it dented the soft aluminum.

stainless steel is super strong, and is probably the only selling point for me. It won’t crush.

people keep saying next year, next year, next year. What damn year is anyone ever gonna be happy?

the iPad Pro 2018 was a total redesign but yet all we hear is “Next year” next year next year.

life is right now. And I’m not living inside of hopes and dreams of next year next year.

5G is worthless to me and a lot of other people too... I’ll never see it anytime soon!

I tell you what, enjoy your new phone. If you really have buyers remorse then return it if you have to. Or keep it for 12 months and trade up for $400 bucks..

next year isn’t bringing anything ground breaking.. and there will forever and always be “Next year”

I am enjoying the iPhone 11 Pro Max! And I’ll pre-order next year next year next year too!

NO REGERTS! Been up since 5AM, it’s almost 9PM with 55% battery left.
Totally agree about "next year". No matter what Apple comes out without people always say "wait till next year". Tech moves fast and with that mentality you'll always be waiting for the next thing. Just buy what you like and enjoy it.

Also this 11 is more of a bridge device for me. I’ll spring for the pro options next year if 5G is going to be only in the pro lines.

Day 7 and the buyers remorse has set in on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. I love this phone but but don't feel like I'm getting $400 more out of this than I would out of an iPhone 11. Aside from the screen resolution, the iPhone 11 has everything I want. Anyone else in the same boat? I wish the 11 had been bumped to 1080 from 750.... ugh!

Yeah It is too bad.....11 Pro Max is the best display to date

It’s long but take the time to read it.

The ‘5G’ hype is overrated, that’s not even going to be a selling point right away for consumers, being it’s vastly limited in the beginning stages. That will take time for expansion. The 11 Pro is a solid phone, Apple Made some really nice changes this year, but more than anything, the Pro (Including the 6.1 11) is aimed for consumers who are on the iPhone 6s/7/8 who have not upgraded yet.

This, and therefore the reason I upgraded to an 11. 5G will be nice....

...whenever they actually get around to upgrading to it in the Ozarks in the middle of nowhere, where I live. LOL Till then, a 5G phone for me would be like owning a snowblower in Arizona.

Maybe a blower in Flagstaff or Payson Arizona , but yeah good point.

I’m lucky to get service when I go up north Arizona let alone 4G. Heh

Well yeah. I mean, I suppose it's *possible* that the reason we've not had many tower upgrades in our area (I am told) is because they're 'getting ready to deploy 5G' and are redirecting resources to that instead.

Being as I live in Missouri, the old adage is true...someone will literally have to 'show me' that's the case. Till then, I'll just wait until I have absolute confirmation that 5G is imminent or already here before I'll consider buying a 5G phone.

I returned my iPhone 11 Pro and went back to my iPhone 8. I didn’t feel that the upgrade was justified whatsoever and money wasn’t really an issue. I just felt ripped off. Hence why I returned it.

The difference in screen quality is there, but it’s very insignificant IMO. It’s like, you notice it for the first minute or two, after which your eyes just adjust and you don’t miss the OLED at all. That’s been my experience.

To me, the iPhone 11 is hands down a much better value and THE phone to get if you must upgrade. Personally, I thought that the telephoto lens sucked. It made all zoomed in photos lose a lot of detail (even in good light) and I couldn’t imagine myself actually wanting to use it. It’s just a gimmick for now that really needs another couple of years to grow into something useful.

I couldn’t agree more. I opened a thread a few days ago here : Is the iPhone 11 pro $300 better than the iPhone 11?
[/URL]

I really can’t justify the extra money for the pro models personally but I respect those that do, it’s all about choices. But to me I feel rib cause it’s the same shhhhhh

Man you’re really out here defending your purchase like your life is on the line lol. Good for you though, but I’m not spending $400 extra for what I feel like I don’t get back in worth. Now had apple made the pro models true pro models ie pro motion display then that to me would have absolutely justified the jump from the 11 to the 11 pro. Not this year

Totally agree. 5G is just not ready yet and it won’t be ready next year. It needs 2-3 years.

When I ran the numbers, the price difference was actually $550 more for the pro Max, not $400. The reason is I can’t spend big bucks on a phone to only have 64GB of ram, so it’s an extra $50 to get 128 on the 11. That’s an extra $150 on the Pro Max to get 256GB. That extra $100 is getting you more storage, but for me 256GB is a waste.

The next price jump is AppleCare. $199 on the Pro, $149 on the 11. Out of warranty repairs are even more on the Pro so it seems like Apple Care is a must.

I could in no way justify an additional $550 for the small differences between the 2...

Preach bro.

I’ve been using the iPhone 11 for 5 days now. My wife didn’t want it. I got att bogo plus $400 in gift cards when i opens new line for my 9 year old.

anyways. I had xs max 256gb So for couple if days. I definitely noticed the downgrade in oled back to lcd. My wife took my xs max cause she wanted bigger screen. She had 8 plus.

but now i. Don’t really notice lcd quality vs oled. I’ve gotten used to lcd screen again.

but than again i i just pulled the trigger on iPhone pro max 256gb midnight green for pickup at local Apple store at 10am today!

I’m just a phone addict.

Hahahahaha I know the feeling. I go through phones like a junkie myself.
