I own the 11 Pro Max. The battery and display is killer. The battery never dips below 60% for me even after 4 or 5 hours heavy use. The screen display is great. So how does Apple bring a phone to the market that people will buy next year?

My 3 big suggestions:
120 HZ rate- Looks buttery smooth on IPads
Pencil Support
Multitasking

Moderate suggestions:
USB C- OK but I have lightning chargers and docks
Reverse Wireless Charging- Would be nice, but reduce battery life
Reduce notch- You don’t notice it once you have phone
Bigger phone- How much bigger can it get? Heard 6.8 but that is 0.3 inches and you can’t make it more comfortable in the hand
5G- Good future proof but will not convince a lot to swing over
Reduce Bezels- Bezels are already pretty thin, don’t want to make it more shatter proof
Add a 4th camera-

Smaller notch/updated Face ID
New sensing tech on the back for better AR etc
5nm chip

Rumors are a reduced, not gone notch. 120 hz is the big upgrade

120hz isn’t possible with OLED. The highest is 90hz

Meh pencil
You have it

We don’t need 4 cameras ... don’t even need 3 tbh

If or when we will get 120hz will be with micro LED not oled

Except the 5g part i dont feel new iphones would offer me much more. I mean 11 pro max is very much an ideal phone.

- Smaller form factor (I'm really hoping the 5.4" rumor is true)
- Higher refresh rate sounds cool, although that alone wouldn't sway me
- Move away from Intel - I've not had issues with my Pro but I noticed a huge drop in signal quality moving from my Qualcomm X to Intel XS
- Reduce or eliminate notch - I'm okay with notch; this is strictly to silence the notch haters around here

Couldn't care less about USB C. I've yet to even connect the lightning cable.
Also don't care about 5G. Everything I do on my phone is already lightning fast. I'd rather keep my battery performance as it is.
No need for more cameras or pencils.

I think 2019 LG OLED TVs have 120 Hz. And I think the Asus ROG 2 phone also has 120 Hz OLED.

Ah I actually don’t follow tvs since they are priced too high and that phone is brand spanking new. Still I think Apple will wait for Micro LED for that. It depends on who makes the phone screens since LG isn’t that big of a player in the OLED screen market? Didn’t LG going to use Samsung screens or something ?

Lg is a huge player in OLED tv screen, the screen Samsung produces is amoled.

IPhone 11 Pro Max is the greatest Iphone Ever. How does Apple Upgrade?

So how does Apple bring a phone to the market that people will buy next year?
Is this a serious question?

Every year since 2007 Apple has sold an iPhone and every year there have been enough people to buy it. Every year there has been someone on MacRumors declaring the current model to be the GOAT iPhone. Ever.

Inertia is one answer. People will buy because they always do. Upgrading is another answer. Because, believe it or not, some people do not own the same greatest iPhone ever that you do. And they want to upgrade. A third answer is because people want to buy it. Just because. A fourth answer is need. Some people will need an iPhone. There are other obvious reasons as well.

It would seem though, that all these obvious reasons have managed to elude you?

Also a pro max user here.

Honestly the thing I want most is the old aspect ratio back. The display is incredible but feels wasted when a third of it is consumed by black bars when watching most content. I can’t stand stretching it out and missing a significant amount of the content either. I got a 6’5 inch device and yet it feels almost like my old 5’1 inch Galaxy S7.

90HZ while maintaining the same battery life would be incredible.

Lastly a raised ear speaker like on the Galaxy S7. Stops lint and dust getting trapped and also feels more sturdy.

My GFs phone has a 90Hz display (oneplus7) and it’s nice, very fluid but tbh I can’t tell much difference to my Xs max. Scrolling through both it’s barely distinguishable
