Same. I had the 6s plus before the X and was immediately disappointed with how narrow the X screen was in comparison. Seemed like I was holding a hotdog at first. Over the years I grew to like the size but it never felt special like the larger iphone did for me. I’m ready.
Couldn’t have said it better. Got used to the X size but missed the larger size (7 plus). Bring on the pro max !

Didn't think going from a 6.5" to a 6.7" screen would be that noticeable, after seeing them side by side, I'm even more excited about getting the big boy 12 pro max. 😱😍

It’s not a huge difference but it is JUST EXACTLY the increase that was needed, IMO. I will be keeping my 11 Pro Max but this screen size increase makes me excited for my 13 Pro Max next year. Apple did the right thing here. Also is it just me or does the notch look a tad smaller due to the size increase?

12 Pro Max from 11 Pro Max is a 7% increase in total screen area. Not too bad considering the dimensions of the 12 Pro Max.

Id like to check it out in real life. I have an 11 Pro Max, very happy with it, but curious about this. The 11 Pro Max seemed huge at first but its amazing how quickly it becomes the norm. Im not sure if I need anything bigger as my next iPhone but this is the big size from now on. I'd say this will be the peak since reviewers say it is right on the cusp of being too big. I just wish Apple would bring back some of the features we first got with the plus size iPhones. Landscape Mode, proper side by side windows in mail, etc. This is huge but has the same UI features as the 12 Mini.

I think the size upgrade makes this a no brainer upgrade from the 11 Pro Max. It will really drive your productivity forward and easily pay for itself.

I liked my 11 Pro Max but always found it a little cumbersome pulling out of my pocket and the max sized phones are increasing in footprint year by year, not to mention the weight. I have always had the plus size phones and if Apple had kept to a 6.5" display put reduced the size a little, I would be excited about the 12 Pro Max but the constant increase in size does add up over the years. Most of the reviewers who have actually handled the phone have said that it is big even compared to the 11 Pro Max and that the flat sides make it feel bigger.
Having said that some people do like big phones.....Horses for Courses really.
I dont use my phone for internet browsing as i have my Ipad and I dont take many photos. I am not a heavy user of my phones and I use my watch a lot for calls and messages so battery life shouldn't be an issue.
So my 12 Pro Max which arrives on Friday without even opening it and I will get a Pro for ease of use and portability.

guess you are out of touch, read up, near 50 pages lol

same thing every year. ignore it

The 12 pro max is taller and a bit skinnier. More like the note 20 ultra which I love form factor wise (was comparing my 12 pro max case to my sons note 20 Ultra) pretty fair seems size wise. Although ultra is even larger!

Know exactly what you mean, remember when I switched from a 6s plus to iPhone X, ended up missing the extra width screen real estate straight away, I was the first customer at the apple store when the xs max got launched. 😂

Tried the iPhone 12 for a day, same problem, screen width real estate was a problem again, typing was so uncomfortable for me, guess I know now only big screen phones will do for me.

Can’t wait till Friday, bring on the pro max.
Same here. I was going to switch to Android if Apple hadn't introduced the 6 Plus. I got the X for the new tech, but I immediately hoped for a plus sized version of the X for the next year. I love these big, all screen phones.

Exactly this. In fact I'm still using my 6s Plus...the 12 Pro Max will be my first new phone since then. Every time I would pick up a "regular sized" iPhone in a store and try to convince myself I could live with the smaller size, I couldn't get past the narrower screen width. But I've handled both an XS Max and an 11 Pro Max and it just looks perfect. Whenever my wife hands me her regular iPhone 8 and asks me to type something on it, I want to tear my hair out because the keyboard is so small.

I'm ready too. Bring on Friday!

anyone else annoyed they leave a gap at the bottom below the bottom row of icons, if they reduced icon size by like 5% they could easily fit another row in, its an option on the iPad, I would love it if it was an option on the iPhone too as it seems they are almost there as it is

What I don't get with these larger screen iPhones is why the hell the icons and font are scaled up. I got an iPhone 12 and was immediately put off by the large icons and text. I came from an iPhone 8. So waiting for my 12 Mini now.
