I just got an LG V60 ThinQ 5G. It's a little bigger than my 11 Pro Max. I don't think I'd mind getting the 12 Pro Max size. Though I'm not upgrading iPhone this year, I'm happy with bigger screens.
im swapping my tiny blackberry for an iPhone 12 pm, i think I'm in for a shocker

I believe those who have never had an big iPhone are in for a shock and adjustment should they decide to keep the 12PM. I used to hate big phones now I love them. The love for a bigger screen started with the X then XS Max then 11 PM which is my current phone. I’ve tried using a smaller iPhone and no way I can’t never go back to a smaller screen. Looking forward in picking up my gold 12PM Friday at 8 am.

anyone else annoyed they leave a gap at the bottom below the bottom row of icons, if they reduced icon size by like 5% they could easily fit another row in, its an option on the iPad, I would love it if it was an option on the iPhone too as it seems they are almost there as it is

Yes, me. And it gets more annoying as the max sized screen gets bigger. I have an 11 Pro Max and it bugs me. I’m sure it will bug me more on my 12 Pro Max when it arrives on Friday. Those page dots at the bottom take up a crazy amount of space and there’s also some dead space above the top row of icons. It should definitely be possible to get in an extra row of icons on a 6.7” screen and I would find that really useful.

What I don't get with these larger screen iPhones is why the hell the icons and font are scaled up. I got an iPhone 12 and was immediately put off by the large icons and text. I came from an iPhone 8. So waiting for my 12 Mini now.
Because of how iOS/Apple handles object sizing, various screen resolutions, and scaling.

See here!!

It’s why an iPhone XR (which I have) will show the exact same (i.e. 100% identical) amount of information as the XS Max, 11 Pro Max, and apparently (?) the 12 Pro Max. The difference between XR and Max is that iOS’s logical points (? forget the technical term) is scaled by 2x, while Max is scaled by 3x because of its higher resolution.

In fact, it’s why I never bothered with the Max. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Maybe it’s more “immersive”, but it’s no more productive.

Am I the only one who hates this "big screen" frenzy?
Man what's up with those huge phones that you can barely hold, use securely with one hand, or fit in your pocket?!
You guys want a brick in your pockets?

Why not giving people the choice and making the same specs across the lineup, just different screen sizes?

While I'm a huge fan of big phones, I also find this watering down of specs on smaller phones ridiculous. Not everyone wants a phablet. Both Pro models should be the same on major features such as the camera.

I don’t understand this point of view...

The 16” MacBook Pro is able to fit in a GPU and more powerful components simply because of the size. Same goes for the Pro Max. Even if in some years the feature set is equal to the smaller pro, if they CAN add more features specifically because of the extra size, why hold back?

Seeing how noticeable the .3 inch difference is between the 5.8 and 6.1” iPhone 11Pro and 12/Pro, I’m really excited about the increase for the 12 Pro Max. The 12/Pro is much easier to handle than the 11 Pro which makes me hopeful that the 12 Pro Max will feel the same way when compared to the 11 PM.

You moved from iPhone to Android, or you’re an android user?

Is the camera that big of a difference in space? I'm saying that I get some things, like the battery for example.

I saw on two YouTube video stating the camera on the 12 Pro Max protrude a bit more than the 12 and I assume the 12 pro. I know on the 12 max, the camera sensor is able to move up-down, left-right. I’ll be interesting when they start doing tear down videos.

Ok I just put my 12 max screen protector against my xs max and I can confirm the 12 max is wider. It’s noticeably wider

Yep. The case I got for my 12 Pro Max is almost exactly the same width as the one my 6s Plus is in, just slightly taller.
