I have an iPhone X and just upgraded to the iPhone 11 Pro in midnight green

It feels faster, very snappy, and fluid. The battery life is much better for me.

The screen is better but honestly I can only tell on certain apps and I wouldn’t know if you didn’t tell me, the speakers are great too but can’t tell a difference either

I can’t really explain why it’s better and worth and upgrade other than saying it just is and only after using it can I say that.

Your opinion isn’t very convincing. I personally do find the iPhone 11 Pro to have much better build quality but I’m still not upgrading from my iPhone X. A speed test even proved that the lack of a much faster processor and the same amount of ram as the previous generation make it a spec bump. Sure, the camera is amazing, frosted glass is cool, and battery life is improved but the real upgrades will blow you away next year.

Upgraded from an xs max to an 11 pro max.

Only real difference for me so far is night mode photos, which are great.

I buy a new iphone every year, since the original, so whether it’s a substantial upgrade or not doesn’t really factor into it for me, though.

The processor is significantly faster.

Yes the build quality is also feels better.

I’m sorry it’s a convincing post but like I said you have to use it and then see. I thought it’s the same thing but after using it after actually buying it i am very happy with the improvements.

even trying it in store feels the same

It’s definitely faster and more fluid, like it glides and it’s pure butter.

you got suckered in for that one.

People need to stop being babies and crying over this.

If you don’t like the iPhone 11 over your iPhone X, or XS then don’t upgrade!!
People love to cry about a new device replacing their own phone.. And it is almost like, because their phone isn’t the latest and greatest anymore they want to rationalize why the newest model isn’t worthy.

IPhone X to iPhone 11 Pro is a good upgrade

iPhone XS to iPhone 11 Pro is not a necessary upgrade because I believe iPhone XS can run all games and programs available now and one will be fine until iPhone 12 releases on 12/9/20 (Very possible).

I'm sure next year's features will be much more impressive, but this year's upgrade is a good one. It may just be the OS update, but it definitely seems faster to me, and face ID is practically instant now.

Possible things in next year’s IPhone.

1) No notch

2) new form factor

3) first iPhone with 5G

4) possible to have 6GB or 8gb ram (Apple should have released this year’s IPhone 11 with 6GB ram)

5) Apple Pencil support to compete with Galaxy Note.

There will probably also be a faster processor and better camera, too.

I also feel next year IPhone Pros will start with 128gb or 256gb to replace 64gb phones of this year. No way, Apple will get people to pay high prices for phones with only 64gb storage in 2020. We may possibly see a 1TB storage iPhone in 2020.

The above will surely make many who ran out to spend $1500 this year to come out to spend $1500 again next year.

It’s strange either way you look at it when it comes to these threads. I see a lot of people coming here to say the upgrade isn’t worth it... so don’t buy it. Why you gotta pee in others’ Cheerios?

On the other hand you have threads like this where it almost seems OP is having to convince themselves they made the right choice. I’m happy you’re happy but of course it feels like an upgrade because it is. Apple wouldn’t sell phones if it weren’t.

I feel the same. Wasn’t planning on upgrading but decided the resale value of X isn’t bad really so went for it. And actually I do notice a difference. My husband upgraded to the XS last year and felt nothing but I note some difference. Even in Face ID although I’m sure most of that is software but still.

This.

IUP FTW!
I haven’t experienced buyers remorse .. I upgrade yearly whether it’s a minor or major change.

Install 13.1 and it’s faster than XS.

13.0 is just a pile of garbage.

I went from the iPhone XS to the 11. I think the 11 is a great upgrade. Night mode as well as cheaper monthly. Still can’t see the difference (still can’t see the pixels). I do lose the telephoto lens but that is about all for me. The green is awesome.

Exactly this. Some people just want to justify their decision to keep their old phone, so they bash the new models to make themselves feel better.
