My iPhone 11 Pro Max also got an Origin Scan at 9:40 PM EST. On the other hand, there is nothing on my Apple Watch Series 5.
I order the Midnight Green 256GB 11 Pro Max and the Pine Green Silicone Case.
I opted for in store pickup (8am-8:30am) for the first time this year as opposed to home delivery. I think this will prove far less stressful than the usual antics of deciphering shipping information, tracking planes and intercepting the package from UPS.
It was fun in all the years before, so I’m here to offer advice and tips from experience.
My case shipped yesterday with UPS tracking, so there’s a feeling somewhat reminiscent of tracking the iPhone tracking days

Agreed. I've talked to several UPS drivers on launch day and they act like it's not really any big deal, pretty much like any other day.

Just found my phone using reference number, changed to pick up at the UPS hub. Yes baby!
Quick question for anyone who’s been in this situation. I decided to do store pickup and went for the 11 because it looked the most appealing. Now I’m on the fence and kind of want the Pro. Does Apple let you return the phone and swap it out if there’s stock?
How did you change it for pickup at your hub? The regular way isn't showing up for me. Perhaps I need to wait for it to actually ship.
If there’s available stock when you pick up you order, yes. But that stock has to be unclaimed, you won’t be able to take someone else’s preorder inventory, as it’s already spoken for. So you could be in luck, then again you might not, it just depends on your specific store and their stock.

Looking at the website, I still see some Pros for store pickup. The problem is that I’m sure they’ll have a reservation line and a separate one for those that didn't’ preorder. So I’ll pickup my 11 and head to the back of the other line and hope for the best haha.

I can see where you’re coming from but where are they going to hide all the stuff for Face ID ? All the other phones that got rid of the notch don’t have the tech of Face ID. Also Apple has never been about being first, if they’re into something they wait until they perfect it and then release it with a better experience.
I meant like from China to the US in a timely manner.
And I’m sure your driver knows he has x amount of iPhones on his truck.
Well they will have a walk-in reservation so as long as they go in on Friday and reserve one, then they can return and exchange.
I tried making that point a few days ago, but I don't think some people were getting the point. There's not just a camera lens in that notch. There are 6 or 7 other things in there, too.
