Looking at the website, I still see some Pros for store pickup. The problem is that I’m sure they’ll have a reservation line and a separate one for those that didn't’ preorder. So I’ll pickup my 11 and head to the back of the other line and hope for the best haha.
Or go early, reserve one, choose the time to pick it up at the time slot you choose for the pre-ordered one and then do it right then and there instead of going back of the line. That's what I would have done.
 
I can see where you’re coming from but where are they going to hide all the stuff for Face ID ? All the other phones that got rid of the notch don’t have the tech of Face ID. Also Apple has never been about being first, if they’re into something they wait until they perfect it and then release it with a better experience.

Apple did make the first smartphone and a great many other innovations. They might not be about being first but they sure have been many times in the past.

Still dont have tracking for either me or my wife’s phone. Ordered as soon as app was live and got conformation email at 6:01am mountain time. Its whatever at this point phones will come when they come i guess.
Me either. My email confirmation says I received it at 5:04 am pst. I ordered a sim free 256 sg pro max. I’m preparing for shipment but nothing has appeared so far on the UPS app.

Thank you! The watch is a great edition it’s expensive as heck but oh well! It’ll be with me at all times so might as well! You have to treat yourself you know!

On the app, picked delivery change, chose the hub 4 miles down the road and done. They open at 9am, UPS delivers at 5pm to 7pm in my neighborhood. Torture!

Thanks. I don't have that option, at least not yet. I just have Delivery Options, which tells me I have to wait until there has been at least one delivery attempt. I used to pick up at my hub every year. I'm not sure what happened to the option. Maybe my phone isn't far enough along in the process yet.

No tracking info yet. Tried the order number (minus the last 2 digitis) and my cell number. Nada. I can't use UPS My Choice because I'm having it shipped to work.

lol not as bad as the series 0. Since series 0 I have bought the SBSS and right now I’m wearing the SBSS series 4. The reason I said not as bad as series 0 is because the SS models came with leather or SS bands and the SBSS with the link bracelet is the one I got so I believe it was $1,099. I do have to say that I might have let go of my other series watches but I have held onto the link bracelet. It still looks good as new since Series 0, when was that 2015?
 
Technical question about carrier compatibility: looks like most iPhones bought from Apple store will be unlocked (pay in full, iUP, Apple iPhone payment), with the exception of AT&T Next (which will be locked to AT&T), does it really matter which carrier to choose when placing the order?

I missed out on the green Pro Max and now delivery date is well into October. But there are still Sprint version available for launch day pick up (!). Wondering if it would work with my AT&T SIM card?
 
I’m not understanding this. I did iUP with in store pickup and was able to pick trade in, and my email shows I can hand in my trade in on store.

I am buying mines outright with my trade in and I have a message saying I can’t trade in my phone at the store. I have to mail it in and that they will be shipping out a trade in kit. I bought mines outright last year and was able to trade in my iPhone X right on the spot.

I checked with my fiance and she has the option. However, she has a delivery date from UPS and I do not have one yet. I think that's the difference.
 
Woohoo! While I haven't received a shipment email from Apple, my package label was created at 9:38am of what I assume is the eastern most time zone in China (so I guess 12 hours from eastern daylight time...so 9:38pm). I don't see information on origin. Just says Ship From:

APPLEINC C/O FOXCONN HONGFUJIN PRECISION - MX POE
CGO, CN

Either way it says delivery on 9/20 so that works for me :)

Yes they’re all unlocked and all would work on any network but not the AT&T Next phones as you said, but I think the reason why they ask what network is so they can verify your carrier account and be able to pre program the phone to work out of the box on your account.
