Are you close enough where truck makes sense? I also couldn't find a flight for that departure. I've got a couple UPS flights from KSDF to KDFW I will be comparing times with if I see a departure soon.

Yeah SDF is about a 10-12 hour drive. So plenty of time to get to my local hub via land. But I can't track that....

Been a disappointing experience this year, but with the same level of anxiety if not more due to the forum outage.

Question - I joined the public beta and deleted my profile in hopes of going back to iOS 13.0 since that is what the 11 will ship with. However, this didn't prompt me to revert to the regular iOS releases. How can I get back to 13.0? Or am I sol

I deleted the profile too, and IOS 13 did not install today. I have the same question as you. I'm thinking I may have to install the public beta on the my new iPhone tomorrow, then do a restore from backup (I have health and activity data that I do not want to lose.)

Yea mines like that too. I’m not too worried. When it gets to your destination and they scan it, they will see the hold for pick up request.

The ability to use an app in CarPlay and a separate app on the phone is the best feature.

So does that mean if I have a podcast playing on CarPlay and I open my phone to view a text it won't pause the podcast to read the text aloud that I've already read on the phone?

from my understanding the only upgrade on the S5 is the always on feature? besides the titanium and ceramic options, everything else is the same and Apple removes the S4 off it’s website and replaced it with the S5. i’m upgrading from a S3. why are you upgrading to a S5? which variation of the S4 do you have? personally if i had a S4 i would keep it until the S6 update.

AND... in the pictures the titanium looks like the brushed of the sport version... I already have 2 series 4 (SS Milanese and SG sport). I upgraded those from a release day SG sport and then added a rose gold when those came out a few months later.

I'm pretty sure that is the easiest thing to do. I did get a few answers on the last page, but it's alot of trouble. Plus we get the added benefit of 13.1 being more stable anyways! So I'm guessing once we log in, we would skip the backup and go straight to safari to download the profile, download the update, and then restore as normal.

Hmm it's a 12 hour drive to me as well it looks like. But maybe they would fly it in and then drive from there to other places nearby. And I just benefit from being close to a central location.

That is what I had to do last year and will do the same. Its a pain, but basically backup phone (and health data). Set up phone as new (makes it quicker), then add on to beta. Once beta is installed, restore from backup. Lastly re-pair watch if needed.

Yes. This is the only way if you have new data you don’t want to lose. It isn’t a huge commitment either, because 13.1 final will be out in a few weeks.

As I type, my trade-in phone (iPhone XS Max 512) is updating to iOS 13 in anticipation for the delivery of my iPhone 11 Pro Max 0.5GB (Midnight Green) tomorrow.

I checked for an update about 30 minutes ago and there was nothing. Now it is available.

I asked Apple and they said I can restore from backup even if the old phone is not running iOS 13. I don't want to go through upgrading since I'll be restoring my XS Max to factory. Makes sense?

Usually by the end of the day the developer ones are active. This is the only "good" thing for my delivery routes, I am usually about a 6-8pm delivery on iPhone day.

Apple requires a signature. Your driver might leave it if you leave a signature, but it is up to them.

Apple actually just pushed up the launch to Tuesday the 24th! So a matter of days

For these expensive toys, you will need to sign for it.
Otherwise, arrange to pick up at a UPS customer counter hub or UPS Store (1 day delay).

Eh, I wouldn’t. Aside from the titanium and always on feature, the S5 is an S4 clone. The only plus to upgrading now would be your potential trade in value when the S6 is announced.

ya.... so they offered me a whopping $110 for my stainless steel series 4 in trade in! so that's not really a benefit to count on!

ah cool, didn't know that. I've stayed on ios 13.0 on my phone (didn't upgrade from DP 8 and went to GM).

How did you go about having it held at the CC? Did you need to call in? I have had it held in years past but the only options I get on the UPS website and the app is to pick a Store and I know that will delay it. The local CC (also about 20 minutes away) is not showing up as an option (and I need to be out for chunks of the afternoon so I do not want to roll the dice on delivery).

I did some digging on UPS website and it looks like the CC is now only an option if there was already a delivery attempt made...

Just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. I don’t get a CC as an option when I try as well

I agree. The S4 is an amazing watch. I upgrade my watch every 2-3 years. Only reason I went from S3 to S4 was it was a significant upgrade. S4 to S5 is like the iPhone X to iPhone XS.

RIght!? Even hubby got a watch last year and up til then he had ZERO interest in one even though I've loved mine since day one!
